This was my first time buying (and cooking) jackfruit in general and this product in particular. Having read reviews about the briney taste, I rinsed the pieces well before cooking. Paired with a vegan chipotle ranch dressing, it was delicious! The texture and taste were pretty much indistinguishable from chicken. I'm glad I subscribed. I can see myself using this quite a lot! Oh, and none of the pieces in the can were tough or contained seeds, so nothing was wasted.

Shredded with onion, bell peppers & bar-b-que sauce in crockpot, this canned jackfruit makes excellent tasting sandwiches. Even non vegetarians love them.

Makes very good "burgers". I followed a recipe I got out of the recipe book I ordered.The taste is different, but good.

I haven't really experimented with a lot of jackfruit recipes, but I can 100% vouch for making vegan ribs!!Jackfruit can take on the taste/texture of many animal proteins, and now I'm excited to try to make jackfruit "chick'n" salad!!!

My favorite jackfruit! Young jackfruit is less briney. I always rinse throughly, squeeze all excess water out, stir fry on the stove and add ingredients, and then broil it! Delicious!

The six pack package arrived torn open, and four of the six cans were dented, and I was not able to get them replaced. The jackfruit, however, was very tasty in the vegan gumbo that I made with the two cans that were not dented.
