I love being able to customize the color and brightness of the light, it makes winding down at night feel intentional and calming. The sunrise wake-up light is one of my favorite features and why I’ve been wanting this for a while now. Instead of waking up to a loud, blaring alarm, I surprisingly woke up to the light glow, and that alone has made a huge difference in my mornings.There’s a huge variety of sound options. I even use it for my 4-year-old to fall asleep in my room with the sounds before heading to her bed. It’s an adult-level sound machine that the whole family can benefit from.Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a quality sleep device to help get a better sleep and wake up routine going. There are a lot of sleep gadgets out there, but this felt like the Benz of sleep machines sleek, dependable, and built by a company that’s focus is on sleep science. My grandpa used to say, “Compras barato y compras cada rato,” which means “Buy cheap, buy all the time.” That stuck with me.I didn’t want to throw money at a cheaper product that I’d end up replacing in a few months. I wanted something that would support my daily routine long-term. Hatch has a reputation I trust, and I’ve been impressed with the design, durability, and consistent performance so far. Don’t wait til January to be the new you that you deserve.

Don’t let the subscription deter you, this alarm clock is completely usable without it.The monthly subscription is mainly for more sounds and bedtime stories, plus 2 added steps to your sleep/wake routine which are ‘Unwind’ and ‘Morning Moment’. I’d suggest setting up some routines while on the free version, to get the feel of it first; then get the free trial and immediately cancel it, so you don’t get charged but can try it out for a month. (Keep the alarms when you cancel!) If you realize that you like the subscription version more than the free: the monthly price is $5 totaling to $60 a year, and the yearly subscription is $50.The sunrise feature is super customizable, you can have the dim lamp go very bright within 5 minutes or up to an hour. There’s 28 different sleep sounds, 12 sunrises, and 13 alarm sounds to choose from without a subscription.Hatch claims this alarm is science-backed in lulling you to sleep but also waking you up gradually and peacefully. Listening to brown noise definitely helps me stay asleep for most of the night; whereas before, I’d wake up numerous times every single night. Also I can for sure say that after having this clock for a few months, not once have I woken up to a jarringly loud alarm and jumped out of bed after realizing I snoozed all of my alarms, like I did with iPhone alarms.The biggest issue is that it relies on a constant WiFi/power connection. If a cell tower nearby goes down or there’s no power, you’re stuck without an alarm clock.I got the Putty color option, it’s a lighter tan with a hint of pink. The video I included shows the Brown Noise sleep sound and the light color Evening Sun. There are instructions that come with the clock that tell you where to touch for adjusting the volume and light, how the two Rest/Rise buttons at the top work, and how to set up the clock within the app. It took about 10 minutes for my clock to connect and register/update, so don’t be worried if it takes awhile. Upon opening this alarm clock, I’d recommend placing the box upright and pulling the top of the box off, so the clock stays in the bottom of the box and doesn’t fall out.Not only is this an aesthetic clock, but it’s also a sound machine, an alarm, and a curated sunrise. The ability to have a different alarm schedule is a huge bonus as well, especially if you have a differing morning routine depending on the day. Honestly, the price could definitely be lower, but I believe it’s just about worth it over other options.

The gradual dimming and reddening of the light is great for slowing down before bed. The slow, calm morning light wake up has been a refreshing alternative to a grating alarm clock.Fabric covered light interface is minimalist without being cold. Color palette is earthy and comforting. Touch activated clock is great for keeping the room dark at night. The display can even be activated by drumming your fingers on the nightstand, such that you don’t have to search in the dark for the clock in order to activate it.

I LOVE my hatch! I got the new putty color, which looks so sleek on my nightstand. The simple design matches with any room. It was extremely easy to set up and connect to my phone, and there is plenty of options of different color and sound combinations to choose from. It’s fun to play around with the different options and create your own personalized routine! I was initially worried about not waking up to the peaceful noises since I’m so used to waking up to my phone alarm, but I was pleasantly surprised when I easily woke up feeling well rested! You’re able to adjust the brightness and the volume of your routine to meet your needs as well. It’s extremely easy to use and navigate. Big fan of my hatch!

I was so tired to waking up to an alarm blaring every morning that I decided to get the hatch clock. It is so much nicer to wake up to soothing, sounds or music and soft lighting that eventually brightens enough to wake you. The design is very sleek. The only cons are you have to pay for an app monthly in order to get all of the functions from the hatch clock and the buttons are very hard to see due to the design and the user will have to read the instructions to fully understand how to work all of the functions. I still love this product and would still recommend it.
