I had high hopes for this without previous reviews. It doesn't fit my needs. I liked that it was quiet and the shape was interesting. There is no way to set the heat level and this puts off way too much heat for my needs. I also needed to trust leaving it on for much of the wintertime. I had two little Geek Heaters in my bay window to keep it from getting too cold during the winter. I could leave them on for as long as I needed to without worrying about them. One of them just died, though, after several winters of use. This heater doesn't work for this setup. If you need a quiet heater that you can monitor while you use it, this puts off a lot of heat and looks cool.

Horrible toxic odor from the coating around the coil. Horrible. Thought it may burn off, it did not!Garbage.

I really liked it. I need two more units. Please inform me when you get the product back.

I really wanted this to be my favorite heater but it is not! The build quality is very strong but its functionality was off! It did not put off the heat like I wished but it did get hot, where I am scared to put anything around it! Think I would order something a little bit safer, just not enough safety features for me! I will save my money next time.

I recently got the Haoteey 400W Portable Halogen Electric Heater, and my experience has been mixed. On the positive side, it produces instant heat, which is fantastic for quickly warming up a small space. The design is sleek and attractive, and the anti-scald flocking mesh effectively prevents accidental burns. I also appreciate its additional safety features, such as the tip-over switch and overheat protection, which provide peace of mind during use.I did notice some concerning issues, though. When I received the unit, there was something that appeared to be melted into the top, which was unsettling. After turning it on, the heating element smoked for several minutes, and I noticed a burning smell that lingered for hours and irritated my eyes. Cosmetically, the heating element also appears skewed about 90˚ off the centerline (see pictures), which detracts from the aesthetic symmetry of the unit and leads me to question its internal design or Haoteey’s quality control protocols. Lastly, I was hoping for heat adjustment controls, but it only has an on/off switch (price point restriction maybe?), which limits flexibility in heating preferences. Overall, I give it three stars for its effective heating and clever design, but it has shortcomings I couldn’t ignore.

I needed a heater in my office that would not make fan noise as my work requires me to be on the phone and people could hear the fan on my old heater. This is perfect! It keeps my office so warm and is so simple to operate. Safety works on it. It's awesome!
