An attractive and time saving paper party set but quite costly for what you get
This Talking Tables pastel party set is an attractive no-fuss solution for small gatherings or kids' parties, although I personally found it a bit pricey for what you get in the pack. It's a 16 person set of cups, plates and napkins in four different colours, along with a tablecloth and some bunting. The design for the set is super and the colours on all the matching items are lovely soft pastels. Bright, cheerful and perfect for things like a baby shower or afternoon tea.The plates and cups do their job well enough without looking or feeling too flimsy, although the napkins are pretty thin so don’t expect them to handle anything messy too well. The bunting adds a nice touch, especially as it's not an item that's always included with these partyware sets, and the tablecloth is also a definite plus since it’s made of sturdy yet recyclable paper. However, a sticking point for me is less about the quality and more about the value for money. While there's a fair amount in the set, I’d expect to pay less than the current price of around £20 for this number of items (at the time of the review). The colourful theme of the items might warrant a small premium over bog-standard ones and whatnot, but in this case the price seems excessive as there are other very nice looking designs that are also themed or coloured for a good chunk less than this, or they're for a larger number of people so the same kind of price tag covers more pieces. If the price were to come down, I'd consider ordering again for another year as it's a nice set on the whole, but at present I don't feel that the value it offers is quite there in comparison to others. Hopefully this will be the case and it will fall more in line with similar offerings, in which case I'd recommend it.

16 Guests Tableware. Party Set
Pastel tableware made of nicely glazed paper. They are strong and have a lovely calming look. There are enough for up to 16 guests in the pack. Plates , cups etc. Bunting included. I love to use these disposable sets although they are not really and truly good for disposing of. However now and again they make good sense

Pastel perfection for any party! 🎉🥳
This tableware party set is a lovely way to add a touch of elegance to any celebration. The pastel colours are soft and inviting, and the tableware is sturdy and well-made. I was especially impressed with the quality of the cups – they're strong and held up well throughout the party. This set is perfect for any occasion where you want to create a beautiful, inclusive atmosphere.

What's the bag made from?
This Talking Tables set of pastel party items for 16 guests is decent, though some things are better than others. The cups and plates are of reasonable quality and come in a pleasing array of pastel colours (four of each colour). The napkins are very thin and feel cheap, though the colours are nice. I don't think they will be very absorbent and don't feel pleasant for wiping sticky fingers or dabbing ones mouth. The bunting is pretty nice - it's a semi-gloss finish which always looks cheaper than a nice matte finish, but I really like that it is printed on both sides so it doesn't have to be hung against a wall. The stand-out item for me is the tablecloth which is very pretty but also made from paper. I've lost count of the party sets I've reviewed where everything in the set is sustainable other than a plastic tablecloth, so it's really great to see a company standing by their principles and providing a readily recyclable paper tablecloth. One area where I'm not so sure they are standing by their principles is in the packaging that the set comes in. Although it's stamped with a label saying "plastic free" I think this applies to the set rather than the bag itself. This is labelled as being a "reusable bag" but there's nothing on it to say what it's made from. Is it plastic? It feels like plastic but then so do some starch based packaging materials. Can it be recycled? There's a label that suggests that it can, but without knowing what it's made from, I can't make sure that I recycle it correctly. If the bag is plastic, then I think that's really disappointing for a company that makes so much of their environmental credentials. If it's not plastic, then perhaps Talking Tables could make that clear in the listing and labelling.

Lovely colours
Really lovely cohesive colour palette. Plain design. Sturdy enough for a party and then throw. Quick and easy to have in the cupboard.

Overpriced for the quality
✔️Simple and easy way to cater for up to 16 guests, adorable pastel colours, plates are ok but children might find are to carry without spilling as you need to support the plate, can co-ordinate the pieces or mix and match for a fun look❌Expensive for 19 people at £19.99 for disposable items, table covering full of wrinkles and looks bad, printing on bunting poor, premium price for a colourful version of discount store products, not as good as Talking Tables other products
