Mission accomplished!
I'm amazed at how well this transmitter has worked to solve the problem of inadequate bluetooth range from my TV. I have run a cable from the optical out port of my Samsung S95D to the optical in port of the transmitter, and a second cable from the optical out port of the transmitter to the optical in port of my Samsung soundbar. This has given me a rock solid bluetooth connection at much longer range to a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, and preserved my ability to use the soundbar in tandem with the TV speakers for Samsung Q-Symphony sound at the same time. Considering I bought this unit at a Black Friday reduced price it has proved to be an absolute bargain.

Good value and reliable piece of kit.
Good value. Easy to set up and use between my LGTV and Soundbar. Unobtrusive with a reliable and consistent connection, great sound quality and virtually no lag.

Pairing was a nightmare, otherwise very good.
I needed this so I could use my wireless ear buds without the problems with my old over-ear headphones. I've had similar Avantree products in the past so I chose this as it suited my needs exactly.Unfortunately, the pairing process did not go well at all. In spite of following the instructions, I could not get pairing to succeed. Neither of the 2 ear/headphones would pair.I was ready to return it as faulty but gave it one more try. This time pairing was successful. I have no idea why it wouldn't work in the first place.Now that is is working, it does work very well and the range I can get is far better than any of my previous purchases. I just wish I knew why the pairing caused such problems.

great invention which I have been looking forward since years!
This bluetooth transmitter for tv arrived very beautifully packed in a box. The box contains the transmitter with batteries included and essential cables to connect.It is one of the best invention which I have been looking forward to. My kitchen is an open plan kitchen with attached living area however because its big I can see the tv but can’t really hear it. Especially when I am cooking and the hob is on. So I always wondered if there is any way I can connect my wireless headphones to the tv to being able to hear the tv whilst cooking. So this gadget is the solution.Its super easy to install and connect to the tv via the cables. You can even adjust and control the volume with the remote control which is very handy.The sound quality is clear and good.Highly recommended and worth the price.

Making the entire TV bluetooth headphone compatible.Now I can watch my films at midnight loud and clear.Sound delay isn't even noticeable but that may vary depending on your headphones used. Mine was perfect.Watched a whole 3 hour film with not a single drop in sound.Recommended.
