Excellent sound switch
We have two stereo AV tuners in our house. Both have exterior speakers on zone two that are located out on our lanai (porch). Every time I wanted to switch zone two on for those receivers, I had to go read the manuals. It would take me a while to get the sound turned on outside. Sometimes I would just give up and turn the volume up loud enough to hear it outside.I finally got fed up with the controls on the receivers and bought one of these selector switches for each receiver unit. The switches were easy to install and work great. The switch buttons are large and the labeling easy to read. I can turn zone two on with one button switch now.By the way, most receiver manuals will tell you that splitting the sound signal from the front speaker zone to a second set of speakers will reduce the sound volume of the front zone and could cause power problems with the receiver. I have had none of these issues with my two receivers. They work great.

Nice little unit
This switcher appears to be well constructed, needs no power, and is unobtrusive. It does what it is supposed to very well. Speaker wire heavier than 14 gauge is difficult to insert into the connectors. This is not a criticism, just a helpful tip. The instructions say not to use speakers with less than 8 ohms impedance, but it will work just fine with 6 ohm speakers as long as you don't have both pairs of speakers on at the same time. That would give an effective impedance of 3 ohms which would overload the switcher. This is a reasonably priced switcher that does it's job very well.

Unusually High Quality
Most niche electronics these days are cheap plastic crap. Not this. It is constructed of sturdy sheet steel and has a really nice feel to the swithces. I have not noticed any degradation in sound quality running it either. It's a great device that meets the need I have, of having two different sets of stereo speakers running out of the same amp at different times depending on where I will be listening.

Just the right solution for outdoor speakers
Bought this to be able to switch on/off outdoor deck and my interior theater speakers when needed. Arrived quickly, easy hook up, performs as advertised. For the price of this item, and the simple two pair speaker switching ability I needed, they fit the bill. Nothing overly fancy, large switches, black and unobtrusive. Nice buy to solve a nagging problem.

Please do research on your amp before purchasing!
I forgot when i purchased this but it’s probably been a year or two, i use it all the time, i use it on my home theater avr, i have a set of entry level hifi speakers and i have a set of the old school cerwin vega avs 5.1 surround sound speaker set. I prefer not to use my home theater speakers for music and not to use my hifi speakers for movies all though there are times where i use both at the same time, and this is where the only problem i can find comes into play. When using both speakers at the same time the speaker ohm load gets cut in half. Ex. 4ohm hifi speakers and 4ohm theater speakers your total is 2 ohms. If you intend on using both speakers at the same time make sure your amp is stable at your ohm load. My home theater are 8ohms and my hifi is 4 ohms which gives me a total of 2.6ohms which is not good for my avr rated at 6 ohms minimum but this avr is old so im using it till i break it.Unit is sturdy! Switches are very tactile! I love the price for what i got.

If the Switch Worked.....
The switch came defective. One channel for speaker 1 did not function. Simple construction and easy to put wire into. It is not possible to hang this on a wall, so the wires are in plain site, if that matters. I sent it back and ordered a Sigma 4 channel selector for about the same money.

Heavy duty. Plug in holes really small
Holds great sound. Heavy duty.Plug in holes really small. Would have loved them to be bigger. Pleased with ease of set up and sound improvement.

Works OK but the internal wiring was incorrect (on mine anyway).
The bad news was the 2nd channel was never fully "off"; with switch 2 in the off position you could hear the left speaker. With the switch in the on position you could hear the right speaker. The good news is that the box is easy to open up and the wiring is very straightforward. After consultation with an electrical engineer in the family, we determined the black side of two of the speakers was swapped inside the box. With a wiring adjustment (swapping two of the black wires), the box works just fine. At some point I'll probably rewire the internals so the wiring matches common conventions.
