This is slightly difficult to install. While it does require drilling a top mounting hole, that's not the problem. It works great. No fumbling with a key anymore. My combination is 4 numbers but there is extra tumbler included that you can use to make it a 5 number combination. You can press your combination in any order to open the lock. You cannot use a number twice, because once you press the number, the tumbler stays depressed until the knob is turned. There are no batteries that need replaced. It is very simple with no bells and whistles. Love it!

Absolutely outstanding lock- much better than the battery operated ones in my opinion.Those are nice because of the fingerprint thing-- for awhile. Eventually the coating cracks and you end up putting in a code anyhow, along with changing batteries. This one, being mechanical, works every time. Nice and sturdy too.Overall, im happy!

It is a crap shoot about whether your product mechanically will work or not. Amazon is not helpful pass thirty days and the product malfunctioned a week outside the window. Do not buy. No one willing to provide replacement for a defective product.
