Its a great alternative to an apple cable. Its high quality, durable, and inexpensive. Its also an American company, so the security concerns with the thunderbolt controller should be minimal. It works as advertised, what more can you ask for?

I use this cable to transfer very large files (300-500+page documents per file with graphics, photos and movies) to and from my Macbook Air to an external hard drive, as well as to backup my computer onto an additional external hard drive. I am little paranoid as I have lost files before, so I always make extra backups. This cable does it very quickly! It is fast! I am extremely happy with this cable as it is very sturdy and does not tangle. All my files are transferred (depending on the size) on average, in about 5-10 seconds at most. Thunderbolt is the way to go.
