When the monitor showed up, everything but the included battery seemed to be in working order. The battery showed zero volts even after spending hours on not only the included charger, but my other NP-F chargers. I contacted the seller and they quickly apologized and shipped me a replacement battery and an extra charger. What more can you ask for? Nobody's QC is perfect. As long as you make it right when one slips through the cracks, I'm a happy camper. If the new battery and charger never show, I'll update my review, but I have no reason to think that they didn't ship me replacements as promised.**update**New battery and charger showed up and work great. Also LOVING the monitor. Have taken it on two shoots so far. One involved some outdoor shooting and I was able to see it just fine with the included hood to block out sunlight.

This monitor is high quality and a good value for the money spent. It has filled the need I had to shoot straight down into a light box and still monitor my image in an easy way. The monitor interfaces with my Sony A6600 perfectly and I am sure it will also come in handy for family videos. I like the Idea that it uses standard readily available Sony type video recorder batteries.

Zero stars. This equipment never worked. I bought this for my son for Christmas and he still isn't able to use it. I have gotten no help from the seller for a replacement or repair. I sent them videos of the equipment and did everything that was asked of me and I still have not gotten this resolved.

Good pieces of equipment! Very useful and it’s fit the purpose fairly well.

For the price, it does what it needs to and has some nice features like the folding hood.Pros:- Large screen, pretty bright display- Came with both micro HDMI and mini HDMI cables, USB-C battery charging cableCons:- Onboard speaker tends to cause interference with camera mics- No DC in cable was included, though I think the battery can be charged while it is in use- Menu was in Chinese by default- Color is pretty washed out looking compared to the actual recorded footage- Sometimes settings don't save or go back to defaultThe first thing I noticed was how large the monitor actually is; it dwarfs my mirrorless Canon, even set up on a tripod with a large telephoto lens and hood. Upon turning it on and trying it out, I was greeted with high pitched interference from my shotgun mic. The menu was also in Chinese, so I had to use the translator to get it to English. Once I changed the language, I turned off the volume completely and set the "picture mode" to "vivid" as the I almost thought the video output was in black and white at first. I also turned on the audio levels, center marker and peaking, which are all off by default.The last thing I did was change the HDMI output to full 1080p in the camera (it was displaying at 480p, which is not the fault of the monitor), and honestly it's pretty good now. The latency is not too bad, and the monitor is definitely much easier to see than the tiny screen on the camera body. I also tested the peaking, which works pretty well. The only other gripe I would have is the software is pretty unpolished, with some spelling mistakes here and there and the settings don't always get saved (I found peaking would turn itself off sometimes, but at least it saves the language so I don't have to try to figure it out again).Pretty good value overall. The mount is decent, does add some weight to the hot shoe but tightens down snug.

Honestly this was amazing from the packaging performance and funny side note the battery is awesome no charger needed.Only knock is I needed a Chinese speaking friend to switch language to English. I might make a YouTube video for that.

I've paired the VILTROX DC-70 monitor with the OBSBOT Tail Air camera to view its streaming or recording video since it isn't supplied with its own monitor. With a USB power cable, when the VILTROX is powered on its USB outlet can be used to charge or assist the OBSBOT battery which only lasts about 90min by itself. Higher capacity batteries for the unit such as the NP-f970 can be used and means you can power accessories and the monitor longer and worry less.
