Excellent sound! Very happy with this
I was surprised by this little boombox for its great sound! I had bought two other different brands and had to return them. For the same price, this little boombox produces a beautiful sound. I am also thrilled to be able to listen again to some of my old cassettes! Very happy with this.

This Boombox is a Total Winner!
I was looking for a way to bring back some nostalgic vibes while still having all the modern conveniences, and this boombox absolutely delivers! From the moment it arrived, I was impressed with the build quality and the sleek design. It's the perfect blend of retro and modern.First off, the sound is fantastic! Whether I'm playing a cassette, CD, or streaming via Bluetooth 5.1, the audio is clear, rich, and surprisingly powerful for its size. The 5000mAh battery is a game-changer – we've taken it to the park, the beach, and even on camping trips, and it just keeps going. No more worrying about finding an outlet! My kids absolutely adore it! They love being able to play their favorite CDs and even discovered my old cassette collection. It's been a wonderful way to introduce them to music from different eras. And the Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity is seamless, making it easy to stream their favorite playlists from their phones. It's truly a product that bridges generations. What really sets this boombox apart is its versatility. It's not just a nostalgic throwback; it's a completely up-to-date audio device. The Bluetooth connection is rock solid, and the ability to switch between cassette, CD, and Bluetooth is super easy. The inclusion of a large battery is a feature I haven't seen on other boomboxes. It's clear that this product was designed with the user in mind.If you're looking for a boombox that can do it all – play cassettes, CDs, stream Bluetooth, and has a long-lasting battery – look no further. This is it! I've already recommended it to all my friends, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

CD works great, FM reception needs improvement
I really wanted to like this boombox and use it for a new radio at work, it looks great and the size is great, small enough to not take up a lot of space. The sound is pretty good and resonably loud. Programming radio stations is not very easyand it olny goes forward thru the preset stations, no way to go baackwards, you have to cycle all the thru and start over from the first. Also here's the bad. It did not get good recepiton in my area at work, worse than my old radio, only one station no matter which way anntena and radio was positioned. If you are not in an industrial setting this radio probably will be good for you.Hopefully the next model made by this company will make a major upgrade to the reception of this radio and make programming radio stations easier and accessing programmed stations better. ex, STOR button, preset up and down buttons. Don't need the tape player, maybe making a version with out tape player will allow room for better reception circuitry and button for radio functions. If they do I would try getting one and seeing how it does.

It’s a good buy for the price.
For the price it sounds great. Portable. Easy to use. I got this for my mom. And she loves it. Plays tapes louder than the cds . Radio sounds fantastic. Came with a remote. Functionality is great. Love the color.

Junk
Junk. Brand new cd started skipped and stopped playing. Had to "reset" it a few times. Was going to return it, but I just missed the 30 day return window.

Practical design, OK for the price, but a few flaws worth noting.
This review is revised from the original version to point out that the tape player does not play at an accurate speed. It moves the tape too quickly, resulting in a half-step increase in tone (i.e. a B note plays back as a C note). This is barely acceptable for spoken word, and useless for music. Original review follows.= = = = = =Note that this player came with a USB-C charging cable but did not include a USB charge module. This isn't a concern if the user has USB charge ports available. But the lack of charger might matter when this player is given as a gift. It's a "Charger not included" situation (rather than "Batteries not included) as back in the good old days when CDs and Cassettes were in style. Now for a rundown of my experience after a few days:I used this player for about 12 hours to covert a stash if spoken word audio cassettes to digital format. I connected the headphone output into a Presonus Studio 192 and Studio One version 7 to capture each recording and clean up the sound. Some of the tapes were from the 1970s, so I didn't expect pristine audio from the tapes themselves. But I was hoping the player wouldn't introduce audio problems of its own.I immediately noticed a very audible hum at 120Hz, and a smaller hum at 240Hz. I initially suspected it was typical (but unusually loud) noise from the 60Hz power supply, but the hum is the same when running on battery. The hum only occurs in the cassette mode, so it maybe it's the cassette read head picking up AC power interference. However, the hum was the same level regardless of where the player was positioned in the room. So I think it's just an aspect of the cassette circuitry on this player. I used notch filters in Studio One to minimize the hum at 120 and 240, and also all audio below 80. The results were acceptable for spoken word recordings, but I don't think they would be suitable for music recordings.Note: The cassette player in my unit did not play back tapes at the correct speed. The cassette player is old-school mechanical, with physical buttons rather than electrical switches. The player does auto-stop when playing a tape that reaches the end of one side. The player doesn't auto-reverse, but I didn't expect it to. However, the player does not stop trying to move the reels at the end when fast forward and reverse are used. The tape movement noise isn't much different when the end is reached, so I had to pay attention to the tape reels when using fast forward and reverse to avoid letting the reel winding mechanism to get worn out with a stalled tape.Which brings up another aspect worth noting: the cassette compartment is unlighted, and is recessed behind a small window. This setup makes it difficult to see if the reels are turning, or to see how much tape remains to be played. I kept a flashlight handy to help me see what was going on during playback. After creating WAV files of many recorded tracks I put them onto CDs and had no problems with the CD mode of this player. The sound was acceptable for spoken word, but don't expect hi-fi sound from this little box. It's adequate for my purposes, but the mostly mid-range audio may not be suitable for serious music listening.I also tried putting the WAV files onto a USB stick but that didn't work out very well. I think the player only handles MP3 format on the USB. That is disappointing because the WAV format is the same as what is on a CD, and the player can handle CD just fine. I'll experiment with MP3 on USB in the future, but for now the USB mode on this player isn't working well for me.I tried the radio and it worked as expected. Locating a specific station takes a bit of time due to the simple user interface. But it's good enough for casual radio use.I also tested the EQ modes but stuck with the basic Flat setting.Would I buy this again? Probably not, but for the price I can't complain too loudly.
