The colors are gorgeous, the texture is very pleasant to work with. I saw a lot of complaints about the variation in thickness, color, etc. I did see a definite variation in the yarn thickness, just as the seller describes and is consistent with hand-made natural fiber yarn vs machine-made synthetic yarn. It's a lovely textural dimension to work with and I didn't find it unpleasant or difficult to work with or in the finished project. The colors were bright and consistent through all the skeins I purchased, IN TWO DIFFERENT ORDERS, so these were separate dye lots for sure. I can't attest to the colorfastness as I haven't washed this yet, but I'll update the review if anything unexpected happens. Unlike prior 100% wool I've crocheted with; this doesn't smell awful or at all really, it isn't making me itch, and it's remarkably tangle resistant during the bulk between skein and project/hook. Sharp folks might notice my hook is larger than recommended, but due to eyesight and carpal, this works for me, and as you can see, the change works just fine. I’m knitting a shawlette with this, & am very satisfied with the quality of the yarn. Yes, there are a few thick/thin spots, but not many & the spots are short; it gives a handspun vibe. The color is exactly as depicted and is gorgeous. I will buy this yarn again.

This is a nice single-ply yarn, which is never as nice or even as 4-ply, so it has places where it's thinner or thicker. Plus it's easy to split the yarn with your needle since it's not so tightly twisted. The colors are gorgeous and bright. The long length of each color before changing to the next made for only 6 stripes on my socks. But it made some really nice socks!

I've already encountered one bulky mass in the yarn, then it normalizes to light worsted, then thins out to fine and even super fine. I figure the yarn is meant to be a #3, light worsted, 4-5mm crochet hook.The yarn is lovely and coloful, but not as bright as pictured.Yarn is soft and will probably present a pretty project when I finish.

This yarn is amazing! Personally I'm not to crazy for wool myself but it's so hard to find a good quality AND well dyed rainbow yarn that's consistent. This one has blown my mind because from the one spool to the other it was COMPLETELY consistent---lined up perfectly! I've crocheted my whole life, even as a child, and I have legitimately NEVER seen a yarn that does that. Maybe I just got lucky and the two pack I happened to get both ended and started on the same colors/fade but regardless I will be buying this again! The thickness is inconsistent but the nice thing is that despite that I have no issues in my lines being straight nor uneven bulky lines/edges. I'll include close ups on the areas that go from really thick to nearly thread like so you can see :)Once again, to sound like a broken record, this is seriously AMAZING yarn and I'm completely crazy about it even though I don't like wool nor working with wool!!!The one thing I'll disagree with other reviewers on here with is that, while it is still slightly softer then other wools, it's still not soft wool like some kind have made it seem. Though, once again, I'm by no means a wool person so I dont have as much reference/experience as others who use it exclusively.10/10 if possible! Good job to the company and employees!

I think I'm to blame for my problem with this yarn. It's very, very fine and I'm not expert enough to deal with it, I need more bulk to work with. It's beautiful and perfect for an expert and will be lovely in the right hands.

Very soft, how ever not as bright as the photo. my bought for my self my daughter grabbed it and hit it saying thanks mom. Will have to by some more lol

The yarn wasn’t exactly what I expected but I am very pleased with the result. It is quite thin—sock weight. I knitted 2 balls into a scarf for a 6 year old. She loves the rainbow colors and it was the perfect length. Soaking in wool wash and air drying brought out the colors and softened it.
