Edit: The seller reached out and replaced the crossbars. The second set I received came with both updated instructions and the new set also didn't seem to place any tension on the rails like the previous one did. Seems I may have just got a bad set which can happen. Seller expeditiously fixed the issue.I would not recommend these cross bars at all for multiple reasons. I will say, the build quality of them does seem decent enough, but my main issue with them is the instructions. While they are figure-outable if the person installing them has some knowledge on how things work and can trial and error their way through it, some one with less know-how would certainly struggle due to the limited instructions.My second biggest issue with them is that they don't seem to fit my 2023 CR-V 100%. They do fit, but they seem to put some unneeded tension on the already installed roof rails.While I do have them installed, I have not yet decided if I'm going to return them and order OEM for not much more money.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these. Heavy duty aluminum construction with precise fit and nice finish. It came with extra screws, gaskets, and pads as well as two Allen wrenches; one for initial setup and another to tighten it once installed and the space is limited. I was going to go with OEM crossbars, but thought I’d gamble. Amazon is pretty good about returns, so the only inconvenience would have been time. These are remarkably inexpensive for the quality at half the price of the OEM ones. Frankly; they are better quality and heavier duty than those made by Honda. The weight limit is 220 pounds, but it almost feels as if I could pick up the car just using these. HIGHLY recommended!

Solid materials, not sure about the paint, washers came in the package a bit small and can easily brake the aluminum covers so I got a wider washers. Installation was explanatory with directions and labelings on the parts. Over all quality is you get what you paid for, but it definitely gives the car a sportier look. I like how my CR-V looks now. If you don't mind paying OEM then buy it. I'm on a budget and put this set on for the look and maybe a rooftop bike rack later on it. Hope this review helps👍

The installation of this rack was easy and quick. It feels very sturdy and makes my car look so sporty. I am looking forward to all our camping trip now that we have a place for our gear.

Crossbars feel pretty solid in place, good quality - though I have nothing to compare it to since I’ve never touched the OEM crossbars but for the price - I’m satisfied with the value!Performance is TBD - I’ll only report back if I hate them haha

I installed these roof racks by myself today on my 2019 Honda CRV and it was not difficult. I followed the advice of another reviewer and also purchased some plastic trim remover tools which were super helpful. I was able to pull up the trim enough to use my Dremel cutter wheel to cut through the parts of the trim so I could attach the racks. I also put a step stool on each side of my car which made things slightly less cumbersome. The directions were pretty easy to follow and everything was finished in a couple hours. I’m very pleased with the quality and ease of installation.

I LOVED this roof rack when I first bought it last year, but if you live anywhere with any sort of extreme weather, it may be better to spend the extra money to get a real roof rack.I had no issues all of last year until I started my move to northern Michigan, and the metal got so cold that the front slat popped out of the housing and almost dumped my kayak and bike on I-75.After I fixed that, I put my kayak racks back up at the start of the season, and the crappy paint on the rack started chipping off! It actually made my back kayak rack so loose during travel that it flew off!!!!Nothing but trouble after the first year. I was so excited about this but in the end it's just a piece of garbage from some random no-name company that has no regard for safety and quality. Quite a shame. Save your money and buy a nice roof rack, because an "unsecured cargo" charge is more expensive than a good rack.
