Fits perfectly

I am a huge fan of Kitchen Aid I purchased a Kitchen Aid Professional 5 Plus mixer in 2020. The white coating on the dough hook that came with the mixer started chipping almost immediately. I contacted Kitchen Aid and basically they don't care. I recently started baking bread again after a hiatus. I purchased this stainless dough hook and I am so pleased. It looks beautiful and we won't have to eat tiny pieces of the white coating in our bread.

The media could not be loaded. The top that attaches to the kitchenaid does not fit, it cannot turn and lock the hook into place and is therefore unusable. (i think the kitchenaid shaft is just a tiny bit longer than the cavity on the hook) . I really wish it fit correctly as the item itself looks to be good quality.I have a Kitchenaid 5 Plus Professional.Yes, the dough hook looks long, but that part does not appear to be the problem....it is the connection point.

I’ve watched YouTube videos of the dime trick but I still can’t get this dough hook to reach the bottom of my bowel. Even after adjusting the neck and double checking that this was the hook for my kitchen aid. Despite it not reaching, it functions like it should. Fits great and seems durable.

So I have made dozens upon dozens of loaves of bread, pans of rolls, etc., using the standard dough hook and always was disappointed in the kneading performance... This spiral attachment performs perfectly. It does a great job kneading, pure and simple. Plus the finish is so smooth and polished! I love it. One caveat: it doesn't seem to collect dry ingredients added to the wet dough as well as the original.. I have to help it out a bit with a spatula. But it is worth it for the final result.
