The sound quality is awesome and the sound visualization also looks good. I think a custom lightening mode should have been there in we could have made custom light patterns with sound visualization.

All I can say is this is the best wireless Bluetooth speaker I have ever owned at this price point. Do not buy new as it is over double the price as a refurbished unit. I did not have a single scratch or anything on mine. I have bought three at this discounted price. Sound quality is amazing. Lights are incredible and flow to the sound of the music. Base is not overwhelming, but very good to where you can hear the highs very crisp which you get a nice subtle base. If you are looking for something to shake the house with base, this is not the unit for you. If you want clean, good base with incredible highs at an affordable price this is 100% the Bluetooth wireless speaker for you. JBL never disappoints. Price point is perfect under 150 bucks. Can’t go wrong. If the sale is still on, buy it and do not hesitate. I’ve had countless Bluetooth speakers and this one hands-down beats them all. Very, very similar to a Bose that cost 3X more. Definitely a great bang for your buck. Highly recommended and would buy again. Have already bought several for friends and family as gifts. Have not had a single issue or problem. Don’t overthink it and just buy this unit. Thank me later!!

I Bought this as a gift for my bf for Christmas this year, I’m on a college student budget so I wanted to save some money and try purchasing refurbished. I haven’t had it for long but the features are cool, it’s customizable enough and all of the modes and different colors are cool. Only thing I don’t love is that it didn’t come in its original box so it doesn’t have any of the instructions or anything, but you can find them on JBL’s website, from a gifting standpoint it’s just not my fav but it’s managable. I’m not a fan of the scratches either but that is kind of expected given it’s refurbished. Haven’t had it long enough to have any opinion on charge life but it sounds good, like any other JBL I’ve had. Haven’t decided if I want to return bc of the scratches yet or not, but that would only be from an aesthetics standpoint since they are more visible with light behind them.

I love JBL speakers. This one didn’t connect to any Bluetooth on any device. Due to that specific default I had to return it. Eventually I want to get one but be able to test it before I buy it in person.

I've owned two JBL Charge 5 portable speakers for a couple of years. I keep one upstairs in the office space that my wife and I share. The other one lives in our kitchen on the first floor. Often, when the weather permits, we like to sit on the front porch and listen to music while hanging out with our dogs. I keep a cooler full of beer and soft drinks on the porch for whoever stops by to hang out. Most nights at least one neighbor joins us. All this summer I've been using the JBL speaker that we keep in the kitchen for this purpose. Recently our closest friend's daughter was celebrating her thirteenth birthday. She plays clarinet in multiple school bands and listens to a lot of music. Her parents thought that it would be fun to make her gifts all music related. My original intent was to buy her a JBL Charge 5 like we own. Then I saw the Pulse 5 online and thought that it would be even better for her. We gave it to her last week, and she absolutely loves it, as do I. So... I got the idea to buy one for myself. The Charge 5 can stay in the Kitchen and the Pulse 5 is my new porch speaker. The light alerts my friends and neighbors that we are "holding court" on our porch, come on over. It is a pretty special product that can appeal equally to both a thirteen-year-old girl and a sixty-five-year-old man. I bought hers new, the "Renewed" version works great for me. This product is a home run!
