The finish on the seat is just as good as displayed on Amazon. It is also very sturdy. There is not the least of a feeling of giving in, upon sitting down. In addition to sitting for part of the shower, i can also place my foot on the seat while drying off with a towel. After use, it easily folds away.

I needed something that would fold up, yet be sturdy enough to sit on if necessary. This seat does both. My remodeling guy recommended this seat, and the price was very reasonable. So I got it and helped the remodeler to install it. Be SURE the wall behind the seat is quite sturdy, since the seat will cantilever on two metal brackets that are secured with four large screws each. I made very sure to add sufficient 2x6 bracing inside the shower wall (easy to do since we gutted the shower for the remodel.) The brackets are on 16 in center to center spacing, just so you will know ahead of time. There are plastic overlays that slip over the metal brackets so that things look nice. However, these overlays reduce the amount of wiggle room, so you MUST be very accurate when drilling the mounting holes. There is very little forgiveness for misplaced holes. Once we got everything lined up, the seat was slipped into place and secured with two pivot pins. They are a tight fit too, so if you need to remove them for any reason, you will need a machine screw with 10-32 thread so that you can twist the screw into the end of the pin to pull it out. Okay, it's installed and there is one final adjustment on the underside of the seat tubes. This adjusts the angle of the seat with respect to the wall. Easy to do. The end result is a very high-end looking seat that looks like you are showering at a nice resort.

After 6 month, the internal bolts on the hinge started to break. We thought we just hadn't snapped the seat all the way down. When the last bolt broke the seat dropped flat down to the floor. I'm not sure if my tail bone will be the same. My wife is waiting for back surgery. If this had happened when she sat on it. It would have broke her back. Bolts were cheap, they should have been grade 8 steel bolts. Their bolts also were rusted.

This appears to be actual teak and not hardwood with a lacquer. The fit was slightly smaller than original in our RV but it works great and a fee months in it still looks as new.

Looks and built well . The only problem is the mounting holes which is advertised at 16" Centre is actually 15" center .I'm hoping it won't be a problem .I would have returned it if I have not drilled the tiles . Beauty of buying from China
