Fitted perfectly
I have recently moved to a new property and the toilet cistern was not working correctly. It never stopped filling!I disassembled it and found the defective part. The diaphragm on my original part had perished and failed to seal the valve. Searching the internet I finally found the part required. This was exactly the part and it came complete with the plastic insert. Five minutes later I had it fitted and the cisten now works correctly.Great product. Thanks

Best for Vitra
Good product. Like Jay G mentioned, mine is also Vitra. I first ordered the replacement from another seller in store. It only works for a few days then starts to over refill. If I take the diaphragm washer out and refit. It will works for another few days. With this product, it works for a few weeks, so seems solve the issue. By comparing the two products, the previous one is slightly thinner than this one, maybe that's the reason. Anyway, definitely recommend for Vitra users.

Use the plastic disc from the original valve!
This replacement valve didn't work the first time I fitted it. Enabled the cistern to fill, but didn't shut off the water when full, causing the toilet to run continuously into the bowl.I tried reseating it twice, with no effect. The rubber on this new valve didn't seem as resilient or stiff as the original, but this could be because the original one was worn? I suspected this might be the problem. Then I took the hard white plastic disc from the original valve with the damaged rubber and examined it compared to the one on this new valve. There was a very subtle difference in the depth of the plastic disc and the little spine inside.I took the plastic out of the new valve and fitted the plastic from the original valve to the new rubber piece and the valve worked perfectly. Toilet fixed!

Fits a Siamp inlet valve perfectly
This was a sort of risk to purchase as didnt want to get the failed component out before the new one arrived. When it did arrive, and I removed the faulty washer. This was a perfect repalcement. Toilet filling as it should again. Marvellous.

they're pretty easy to replace
My toilet did not work. Now my toilet works. 10/10, does what it says on the tin.The rating is 5 stars for the convenience of sourcing this item. The actual item itself is a very high quality replacement too. Unfortunately, it's just prone to failure due to the design of the system as a whole. These things are known to fail after a few years on Siamp systems, so I'd say save yourself the future pain and buy a couple. That said, they're pretty easy to replace, the process is very intuitive, and it's very possible to do by yourself and save the cost of a plumber for what is ultimately (and very literally) a 5 minute job. Even if you aren't DIY minded, there are plenty of really informative tutorials out there on how to fit these. The three most important pitfalls though, are ensuring the water is shut off first, ensuring you fit the new valve with the same orientation as the old one (they are keyed though to prevent incorrect fitting), and ensuring that the water shutoff system works correctly once fitted - it can come unclipped when removing the valve holder which will prevent the inlet from closing once the water is at the maximum level.

Toiler cistern now fills fast
My toilet cistern was taking ages to refill after flushing, searching Youtube suggested the rubber diaphragm on the filler unit could be perished, and they were right, the old one had perished completely.Unscrewed the cap using an oil filter removal tool (with thin strap) as it was stuck tight. After noting the old diaphragms orientation I removed it and replaced with the new, one, then screwed the cap back on. Cistern now fills in 55secs compared to the 10 mins it was taking. Easy job but tight access inside the cistern. Check Youtube videos for 'How to'

Good product Bad quality
The Siamp 34951309 Cistern Inlet Float Valve Diaphragm Washer is a functional and affordable replacement part. It fits well into most standard cisterns and effectively stops leaks when properly installed. The multi-colour design doesn't add much in terms of aesthetics, but it's a minor detail given the washer's hidden placement. However, the material quality feels slightly less durable compared to other brands, which might require more frequent replacements. Installation is straightforward, though it may require some adjustments to achieve a perfect seal. Overall, it's a decent product for the price, but it may not be the most long-lasting option on the market.
