Judge JEA88 Electric Wok Non Stick with Lid, 32cm, 3.7L Electric Pan, Electric Frying Pan
The Judge JEA88 Electric Wok is a versatile and convenient cooking appliance. Its large 3.7-litre capacity and non-stick coating make it ideal for various dishes, from stir-fries to stews. The wok heats up quickly and evenly thanks to its 1500W circular heating element, and the temperature can be easily adjusted from 60°C to 220°C. The detachable cord and cool-touch handles make it easy to move and serve from the kitchen to the table. While the wok is generally well-made and performs well, some users have noted that the non-stick coating can be sensitive and may require careful handling. Additionally, the wok is somewhat heavy and may not be suitable for all users. Overall, the Judge JEA88 Electric Wok is a solid choice for a versatile and efficient cooking appliance.

Takes a little get used to but once you do wow.
I purchased this little cooker as Judge was the name on the label and we had one of their frying plans for years of reliable service. Apart from the name I also bought the cooker as its low wattage which is idea for use on camp sites and in particular where the output is low wattage. On first use it is a little disconcerting as it keeps switching off on at the low settings and you have to get used to it coming up to a boil for a few seconds and then shutting down. I haven’t had a pan that cycles on/off with such an effect. Don’t get me wrong, the temperature of the food is maintained and I have both slow cooked a curry over several hours on a low setting and pan fried steak, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions all in the same pan on a high setting. (On the high setting it’s fairly constantly at high temperature and doesn’t switch off). It’s so versatile once you get used to it’s querky on/off cooking you’ll be glad you made the purchase. It’s early days yet so long term I will update this review but after a month of regular use in our Motorhome the non-stick coating has remained intact and makes it very easy to clean. I ended up using this little cooker as preference to the BBQ as its so easy to clean.

Not bad for my first electric pan but would like to try some others
It's worth saying this is my first electric pan so I've got no frame of reference, so my main comparison is to our gas hob.Size: decent size squarish, easily make a substantial meal in itTemperature: it's quite thin, thinner than I expected, and it's not that heavy, i.e. not a thick/heavy base. What this means is the heating elements are very close to the cooking surface, which leads to uneven cooking areas. It's not that much of a problem but I found you do have to work your way around it e.g. I moved chicken pieces around to be closer to what appeared the hotter part. That said, I was also able to make a paella in it so it's by no means a disaster. The lid doesn't really keep the steam in either so used foil. The other thing, again this might be all electric pans, is it gets very hot for a few minutes, then cools, then gets very hot, then cools and continues. I found this again something you have to manage but ok once you get the hang of it.Cleaning: easy to clean, with a sponge of cloth and some soapy water. The lid handle is screwed on and needs to be unscrewed to clean otherwise water gets trapped underneath it.Overall I'm fairly happy with it. Good for the garden alongside the BBQ as well

Judge quality seems much better than similar looking skillets.
The Judge electric skillet is brilliant and made of quality materials. It's economical and reasonably priced. We bought 2, one for our caravan. These skillets are very versatile and not only cook a full English but many other types of cooking..

Quality control is suspect
In general, I like this kind of product. I have had many similar ones over the years, and this one seemed to do the trick. The first one I received had to be replaced immediately it arrived, because it had been packed (by the manufacturer) so badly that the three pin plug not only poked through the box, but had also made a big dent in the thin metal element cover underneath the appliance. The second one performed well, apart from the thermostatic heat control, which often needed the control knob to be nudged (not rotated) to get the unit to switch back on again (possibly a faulty control, but I didn't use it often enough to be sure). My reason for returning this item is that on the third use, after I had dished up, I moved the appliance away from the work area, and one of the two mountings for one of the handle/leg combinations sheared off completely. If the appliance had still had hot food in it, this could have been a nasty accident. I can forgive the bad packing, but not a manufacturing fault, so I won't be purchasing this item again.

Highly recommended cookware. Very versatile.
I love this very useful cooking item. You can use it for many different products, for slow cooking or quick fry. Wouldn’t be without it now. Highly recommended.

Works ok
Not really sure about this, working ok But all heat is in aCircle, so constantly having to stir as the outside not cooking at the same temperature, and if I'm cooking on high , it switches itself off completely 😒
