Perfect for Pattern Testing
I absolutely love using this muslin fabric for sewing, and it’s become an essential part of my process! I use it to cut out patterns and create first versions of my dresses before working with my real fabric, and it’s been a game changer for ensuring my designs come out just right. Here’s why I’m giving it a full 5 stars:Ideal for Pattern TestingMuslin is the perfect material for testing out patterns. It's inexpensive, so I don’t feel guilty about using it for trial runs. I can easily cut out patterns and sew up the first versions of my dresses without worrying about wasting my more expensive fabrics. It gives me a chance to make adjustments, check the fit, and see how everything comes together before committing to my final fabric. This has saved me so much time and frustration in my sewing projects.Lightweight and Easy to Work WithThe muslin is lightweight, but still durable enough to handle multiple fittings. It’s smooth and easy to sew, which is especially important when making adjustments to a pattern. I love how it holds up through pinning, cutting, and trying on the first version without any issues. It doesn't slip around or stretch out of shape, which makes it much easier to work with compared to other test fabrics I’ve tried in the past.Great for Fitting and AdjustmentsBecause muslin is relatively plain and neutral, I can easily see any fit issues or alterations that need to be made. It’s also easy to mark on, which is a huge plus when I need to make changes before moving on to the final fabric. Whether I’m tweaking a hem, sleeve length, or fit around the waist, muslin allows me to clearly visualize the adjustments I need to make.Affordable and VersatileOne of the best things about muslin is how affordable it is compared to other fabrics. I can buy it in bulk, knowing that I’m not spending too much money on something that’s just a test version. Despite being inexpensive, it still feels quality enough to give me an accurate sense of how the final garment will fit and look.Final ThoughtsThis muslin fabric has made my sewing projects so much easier and stress-free. It’s the perfect tool for testing patterns and ensuring everything fits just right before using my final fabric. If you’re into sewing and want to create high-quality pieces without risking your real fabric, I highly recommend investing in muslin for pattern testing. It’s affordable, easy to use, and has made a huge difference in my sewing process. Definitely 5 stars!

Good quality
I have made hand-stitched loudspeaker covers with the material and they are holding up well. Fairly resistant to wrinkles too with only occasional ironing needed having pulled the covers on and off over the many months. I'm very happy with the quality.

Quality fabric, but too stiff for the application we had in mind
Nor soft, which we were looking for. It's good material, but we'll have to find another use for it.

Perfect for what I needed it for. Easy to work with. Just right in softness, sturdiness, color, everything.

Shrinks, stinks, and shrivels.
Not for clothing. Not for quilting. It was heavier and stiffer than I expected - and had a strange odor - so I thought I could launder it to soften and freshen it. It comes folded - not on a bolt - so to make it easier to work with, I cut it into three sections. I washed it twice. The odor bloomed into a "sweaty cart barn smell" and the fabric shriveled into a crinkly mess that no amount of steam ironing could flatten. If that's the look you are going for, this product is perfect for you. I wanted to use this for apparel pattern fitting. The texture after washing - much like an exaggerated Pringle chip - makes that virtually impossible. I recommend NOT using this for anything that will be washed. Pre-washing does not help.
