Awesome non obtrusive clock.

Got this for my 89 year old father. Large numbers easy to read in daylight. The backlight if automatic but it won't turn on due to the night light he leaves on for nitly trips to the bathroom. Therefore not bright enough to use once the daylight starts to dim or its an overcast day. Wish there was a manual override for the backlight.

The clock arrived quickly and well packaged. However, the batteries provided (6) were either old or dead. The 2 AAA batteries meant to protect the clock's program settings were fully installed. The 4 AA batteries were protected by plastic wrap. When I removed the wrap and installed them, the clock would only beep and then flash a full panel of numbers before going dead. I, my husband, and our adult daughter all took turns reading the instructions carefully, checking the batteries, and attempting to get the clock to work but achieving only the same negative results. It was only after going into town to purchase both types of batteries and installing both fresh sets that the clock would function. Setting time, etc., was simple (all the studying the night before, I guess). I think we're going to be happy with the unit. The next test will be how long the batteries last.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this wall clock! It was so much better than I was expecting. Bought to put on wall in my home gym. It has large display, super easy to see and read and has awesome backlight that can be easily seen at night. MOST happy with this clock! Would definitely buy again!

Can see the time clearly and great transition for nighttime with backlight.
