This is invaluable, even if you decide to bring the car in for professional repairs, to avoid any surprise costs or unscrupulous mechanics.Additionally, the tool uses 2-way communication to access a variety of maintenance functions. On my BMW, replacing the battery requires registration with the ECU so that the system charges the battery appropriately. This tool performs that function, whereas in the past I needed a trip to the dealership, incurring a 1 hour labor charge. Likewise, when bleeding brake fluid, you can access the ABS system for a full flush. It's the same with cycling water pumps, radiator fans, interior electronics... Virtually any ECU controlled function in your car is accessible for diagnostics using this tool.Being a tablet design, the system is pretty rugged with a protective casing that is easy to hold securely. The back features a flip-out plastic stand to prop the device up on a dashboard or console. The bluetooth unit that I purchased comes with a transmitter that plugs into the OBD II port and wirelessly syncs to the device (powered thru the port - no batteries needed). The battery life on the tablet will run down after several straight hours of use, but a charger is provided, along with a handy protective plastic case.While the cost of this tool may make it seem like a luxury item, I can say that I've already recouped 75% of the investment in the first month of using it, just from avoiding dealerships and pro service. The tool's many features make it as versatile and indispensable as any quality set of wrenches. And, I know that the device will work on any car that I own in the future. I highly recommend this tool for anyone who routinely maintains their own vehicles.

Great product for troubleshooting vehicle codes and problems. I asked several questions about the scanner before I purchased it to make sure it would do what I needed it to. The seller answered every question I asked and was faithful in following up to make sure I was happy with the answers I got. When I was confident that the product would do what I needed it to do I made the purchase. Later the same day I made the purchase the seller contacted me to thank me for the purchase.When it arrived I couldn't wait to test it on my vehicles. I have a 2019 chevy canyon and a 1999 chevy silverado (both 4-wheel and all-wheel drive). It did everything they said it would do and did a whole lot more. I was able to clear codes and find the problem that I have been having with the 4wd system on my truck. I did all of this the first time I plugged it into the vehicles. I am very satisfied with this purchase and am confident that their support will always be there to answer any questions I may have.This is a great seller. This is a professional level bi-directional scan tool at a very reasonable cost for all its functionality and build quality. Very sturdy construction, comfortable to hold due to the rubber sides and stand arm allows you to hang it from the steering wheel or prop up on flat surface. Good screen quality. Includes a heavy duty storage case with connectors and wires. Updates are easy with wifi, good quality OB2 connector, easily recognizes vehicle/VIN by just plugging in. The wifi adds another layer of ease of use due its automatic emails of scan reports and internet connectivity to search for info on the same device. It's essentially a wifi connected heavy duty 8" Android tablet. You can take, store, and email photos of your repair work. Free 3 year updates is a huge benefit. I contacted XTOOL customer service for some information and they got back to me within hours and were very helpful. The more I use different functions, the more I really like it. Would recommend you check out reviews by professional techs on youtube to see all its capabilities. As a backyard mechanic, I need all the features to work on newer models with the free 3 year updates and have the capability to work on older vehicles as well. Would buy again for sure.

Great product with wide coverage of cars. Super easy to use. Ride adjustments on bmw rover etc are a breeze and actually easier than my snap-on.Support went out of their way to handle an issue I had with battery and I had a new one shipped to my door in no time.

I do this for a living and was skeptical about what it do in a repair shop. It's now my favorite tool. I've owned Snap On for years and it's always a pain to use on anything not Ford or GM. This thing does everything I need and some things I didn't know I could do because the program aspect of snap on never works. This is an outstanding scan tool in any price range.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Can verify this product works perfectly with auto auth . Had some issues but support was excellent even pushing me a beta build to addressed issue . Updates are weekly. VERY pleased with scanner . Topographical scanning at this price point 👍 . 3 years of updates makes the tool free in my opinion. This is the diagnostic scanner you want . Well updated . Works on my 2024 sprinter . Great value . Have scanned multiple vehicles. Live data top notch .
