How long can this paneer be refrigerated, once opened, and still be good?

Diane, We get a fresh shipment every month. You have about 2 years for this cheese if vacuum sealed.

Why is this so much? I'd buy it for half the price.

Because it is five pounds and has to be shipped cold pack. I have no other recourse for getting it; I live in a food desert. I order five pounds at a time and freeze it. Of course you can get it cheaper if it is available in your area.

Can you freeze this or how long will it keep in the refrigerstor

I freeze mine all the time. I would not keep it for longer than six months

I received my paneer 9/1/20 but we noticed the package date says that the paneer was packed on 3/29/20. was the paneer frozen, is this safe to eat?

Mine was fresh, not frozen! I would return it or ask for an explanation from the merchant. Mine was cold packed but definitely not frozen.
