Great Nutrition Information
I am fairly new to running, and have been training to run my first marathon this fall. I wanted to find something that could help me adjust my diet to help provide me with enough energy to get through the long training days. I could make it through the run, but would find myself extremely fatigued for the rest of the day. After implementing some of the strategies I have learned in this book, I find that I have more energy and am not as easily fatigued during the runs!I showed the book to my mother in law, who is a very seasoned ultra runner, and she said it was a great book that had a lot of information she had learned over the years, all combined in one place. That being said, if you are a pretty avid endurance athlete, this might have a lot of information in it that you already know. But hey, it'll all be in one place and would be a great place to refer back to! As a beginner, I found it all very helpful and useful.I have tried out quite a few of the recipes in here as well. They have all been really delicious and fairly simple to make. I will say if you're planning on making something, read through the recipe well ahead of time, as some include longer prep work than others. Some favorites have been the Sage-Rubbed Chicken with Spaghetti Squash and the Quinoa-Crusted Chicken Tenders (Huge hit with my kids! I made a double batch and there were none left!).Overall, great book with a lot of useful information. I highly recommend!

Practical with good recipes
This was a good purchase. Over the past few years I’ve experimented with a few different diets (vegan, vegetarian, Mediterranean) and feel best using the recipes and guidelines in this book…they’re easy, tasty, nutrient dense, and leave me feeling energized to get through my busy workday and workout. The book does recommend protein powders which I never use and probably won’t start. It also recommends several caffeinated energy gels during workouts and racing which is a big change for me, I’m used to having 1-2 gels for a half and nothing on training runs but maybe this will help? I wish the author gave a good alternative to the energy gels which I generally dislike. The book has bright colorful photos of the recipes with easy to find ingredients. Have purchased cookbooks written by athletes before and been pretty disappointed by the recipes but this one’s really good. Looking forward to following the nutrient timing tips before workouts and races.

Great content. Not so much Kindle formating
This book provides great information for endurance nutrition. It presents the underlining methodology and planning in simple precise language. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.I did not give this item a 5 star rating because in the Kindle format, the page formatting is off in some areas of the text (which interrupts the flow of the book) and the table formatting leaves a bit to be desired. I am sure these items are not present in the harcopies but I did find it a bit annoying here. Once again not issues with the content, just the way the pages were presented in the Kindle format.

Recipes are tasty, easy and unique. Good info on eating what and when when it comes to endurance training. This book has really helped me to improve my eating. Glad I found this book!

I have read the book and it is an easy read with great information
I followed the principles of the diet before the book was published. I lost 18 pounds in six months and haven't had any nutrition or GI problems during races. I have read the book and it is an easy read with great information.

Great book I learned a lot from it
Great book I learned a lot from it. As a beginner this book gave me a good start to make things I could actually use. Also explained nutrition in an easy to understand way.
