A Great Replacement Laptop Battery For The Acer Nitro 5 Laptop!
This laptop battery is a perfect replacement for the OEM battery in the Acer Nitro 5 Laptop (model: AN515-53). The part number of the OEM Acer battery and this battery is: AC14B8K. After 5 years of heavy use the OEM Acer battery in my Nitro 5 laptop would no longer hold a charge. This replacement battery fits and works just as well as the OEM Acer battery. After installing this battery, I completely charged and discharged the battery 3 times in succession (it is delivered with a 60% charge), in order to "calibrate" it to the laptop's BIOS, and now it holds a charge for around 2.5 hours during heavy laptop use (which is also how long the OEM battery would hold a charge). There is no other hardware or software calibration necessary with this battery. This battery comes with small Phillips and Torx screwdrivers, as well as a plastic laptop case separation tool that looks and feels like a large, heavy gauge guitar pick. It took about 30 minutes to replace the laptop battery using the included Phillips screwdriver and the laptop case separation tool.In order to replace the battery in the Acer Nitro 5 laptop, the 17 tiny Philips case screws on the bottom of the laptop must first be removed (the screws have blue Loctite on them so they are secured well). Then remove the secondary hard drive to make accessing the battery easier (4 more tiny screws). The RAM modules can remain installed, but the RAM cover and its retaining screw must be removed. Now, gently pull the laptop case apart at one corner, and then insert the separation tool into the seam and slide it all the way around. This will completely separate the laptop case. Remove the two tiny screws holding the OEM battery in place, and carefully unplug the battery cable. Now install the new battery, and reassemble the laptop in reverse order of the disassembly process. It is that easy. I also suggest checking the CPU and GPU cooling fan "bearings," and also blowing out the entire laptop with compressed air while it is disassembled (especially the cooling system). Also, when reinstalling the case screws, work from the middle of the laptop outward toward both sides. This will put even pressure on the bottom panel, and it will install more easily. Putting new Loctite on the screws is really not necessary. One Tip: the motherboard connector on this battery is reversed from the OEM Acer battery (upside down, actually), so the battery cable will have a slight twist when installed. It is actually easier to install the battery cable if it is plugged into the motherboard before installing the new battery.I have been running this battery for weeks now with no issues at all. It charges quickly and lasts just as long as the OEM Acer battery did. However, this battery is a LOT less expensive than the OEM Acer battery. The Acer Nitro 5 laptop is technically a "gaming" laptop and it does not have great battery life to begin with, especially when the secondary NVIDIA 1650ti GPU kicks in. However, the Acer Nitro 5 is a beast and it is built like a tank. I will keep purchasing new batteries and replacing the battery as long as the laptop lasts. Hopefully, I can get another 5 years out of this battery, just like the OEM Acer battery, but only time will tell. So-far-so-good, though. If anyone is looking for a great replacement laptop battery that won't break the bank, then I highly recommend picking up one of these quality laptop batteries today. It sure beats buying an entire new laptop.

Worked for 5 minutes
My old battery stopped charging and I'd always get a "Critical low battery" message when trying to turn it on so I decided to replace it. Bought this one since the reviews were pretty decent and it was the exact right battery for my laptop. I ended up changing the battery in my laptop with the newly bought one, plugged it in, and turned it on just for it to work for a solid 5 minutes before suddenly asking me to "plug it in" and suddenly turning off just to be met with the "Critical low battery" message again. I've tried multiple other chargers and none of them helped to fix the issue so it has to do with the battery. I've chosen to get a replacement battery since I'm hoping that I just got unlucky and received a faulty one. Luckily the replacement was free so I don't have to buy a new one. I'll update my review whenever I receive it and see if it works or not.EDIT: Received the replacement and the same issue occured this time it started at 30% and refused to charge so at first I thought it really was an issue with my charger but then all of a sudden the screen goes black just for it to turn back on and suddenly be at 5% and then immediately power off just to be met with the same "critical low battery" message. Honestly I'm just tired of trying to basically gamble on whether or not this product is going to work or not. Maybe you can get luckier than me but I'd highly recommend trying other products. I can't even get a replacement at this point and my only option is to send it back and wait up to 30 days for a refund which is completely ridiculous.

Battery fits perfect and is charging properly
After a lot of battery reviews, I went with this battery and very happy with it. Exact match with Acer Nitro 5 laptop. Arrived with no damage.Since the seller didn't have many reviews on this particular battery, I was a little hesitant but am very glad I did get this. Will update this review in a couple months with updated review.Battery came charged at 48%, charge to 100% with no issues.Thank you for advertising a quality battery at an affordable and realistic price!

Direct replacement
1) Order the correct battery. You may not know for sure until you take it apart. I had to reorder as my son ordered wrong one.2) It was easy to replace and worked fine charging and using.3) long term test durability has not been evaluated, son packed it up to college 6 weeks ago.4) Secret to long life= don't leave laptop plugged it. Let it use/cycle battery. Set to 80% max charge in battery mgmt settings.
