This Challah arrived and looked just like it appears in the picture. That was the good part. The GREAT part was eating it. Growing up in Southern Africa, I ate this bread regularly and I loved it. It doesn't take much. Slice it. Smear it with REAL butter and have it with a cup of coffee or tea. The experience evoked so many wonderful childhood memories and I love this as much now, as I did as a young boy. I have not shared this tradition with my wife and our son. They LOVE IT. :)

The loaves arrived fresh and very good. However they are extremely overpriced at $25. Here in New Orleans they sell for $6:50 a loaf. I ordered from Amazon because they were not available here. I won’t be ordering them again any time soon.

This bread is absolutely delicious!! I enjoy eating it everyday for breakfast. I will definitely order it again!!

I’ve purchased this multiple times and each time the bread has been great. It has always been fresh. I will continue to buy…just wish it wasn’t so overpriced.

I’ve gotten Stern’s raisin before as well as their hamentashen for Purim. I have never been disappointed. The bread is fresh, the raisin’s soft and flavorful. The order arrived very quickly.. one other point, the bread freezes well if you don’t finish it on Shabbat. I give Stern’s challah my highest recommendation.

I have ordered this product multiple times and generally have been pleased, but the last time the loaves had almost no raisins. Entire slices were void of raisins. The raisins are the whole reason I order this bread as plain challah is readily available, but raisin challah is not. If they are cutting back on the raisins, I'll stop buying.

This is real value for the money. Raisins are not cheap. Fresh and flavorful. I have baked my own in the past, but I will be buying this again!
