Look, if you're wanting something to smell nice this is NOT for you. It smells like a rubber factory. Its so HORRIBLE, but it also works so well. Way better than the drying lotion from Mario. It sucks ALL the oil out of your skin so only use it as a spot treatment. If you try to cover your face (live and learn) its too much. My cheeks were peeling for days. Just gave it to my teen and his skin looks amazing now. I use it at night so no one smells it around me. It could be used as an acne coverup if you dab it on lightly and have a darker skin tone too.

This is the best mask I've tried. Yes The smell is harsh but not unbearable. Totally worth it!Love itI have mature skin and this stuff definitely make my skin look better!

It does seem to work, but yes, it smells like an ashtray. It’s not unbearable, but it’s also not pleasant. So far my acne hasn’t gotten any worse and seems to be improving. I’ll definitely continue to use it.

I did quite a bit of research on this product before purchasing. After using it for about a month, I am thrilled I went ahead and bought it! A little about me: I have suffered from acne/cystic acne for nearly 20 years. Accutane basically did nothing for me. Now that I am over 30 and pregnant, my acne has only gotten worse. I have been so happy with the results I get from this drying mask. I see results nearly right away - and for sure the next day. I think it does just what it says it does: it dries out your acne. I think it also pulls out impurities, as I noticed it will sometimes bring my blemishes to a head. I put it all over my face, chest and back. The only downside is: it really does smell terrible. I'd compare it to a spare tire dipped in gasoline. (Yummy!) But if you've suffered from acne like I have, no smell will keep you away from a solution. Good luck! Sidenote: I did check with my doctor before using since I am pregnant. I got the green light.

The odor actually made me nauseous. I've used sulfur masks before, so I'm familiar with that smell. This smelled horrific - like burnt tires and paint fumes. I couldn't keep it on the full 15 minutes. And after washing off, the smell lingered on my face. I offered for my mother to give it a whiff because I was in disbelief, and it instantly gave her a headache!I'm a fan of a few of MB's other products, so this surprised me. I was able to return it, thank goodness.

I’m torn: this product seems to do what it promises, but the smell is AWFUL. It’s a very heavy chemical scent that doesn’t fade even when it’s completely dry. I’m not normally sensitive to scents, but this is a stink unlike any other. I had a light a candle and hold it while I was wearing the mask in order to tolerate it. I’ll definitely use this bottle because I don’t want to waste it and seems to be good for my acne-prone skin, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to use it a second time because of the stink. If I can find a way to plug my nose when I use it and see beneficial effects, I’ll update this review.UPDATE:Tried this as a spot treatment mask instead of applying to the whole face and it’s MUCH better. The smell is totally manageable and it seems to be effective for drying out blemishes. It would still be a stretch to say that it smelled good, but I’m happy that I found a way I can use it.
