My Favorite Pencil. 10/10
It's absolutely amazing. Firstly.. I much prefer the gel grip to other pencils. Uni is seriously onto something here. The rotating lead creates such neat looking notes. I've never seen or experienced anything like this. This technology is seriously awesome. You never have to re-adjust. Also.. writing feels differently with it. It doesn't feel like your dragging graphite across a page anymore. It glides. And all of your lines look crisp and clean. The weakness of this pencil is it's ability to break lead. That's really not so much the pencil's fault but if it was upgraded with a sliding sleeve.. that would be cool. Honestly, I cycle between this pencil, the uni alpha gel original, and a pentel orenz nero. The alpha original has a wonderful slim grip. This is a bit on the hefty side with the turning engine. The orenz never - ever - breaks lead. That's because it has a sliding sleeve. It also auto-advances which is awesome.I really enjoy all 3 of them. When I pick up this pencil though, I feel like I'm returning home. The sensation of writing is unparalleled.

Just Buy It
Absolutely love this pencil. I was looking for a nice pencil at a price I could afford and I'm so happy with it. The design is beautiful, the lead has not broken on me once, and even for someone with small hands it's comfortable to hold. Would recommend. I prefer to use an actual eraser, but the eraser is easy to use too.

Smooth and comfortable
This the most comfortable pencil I have used yet. I have been searching for a “perfect” .05 pencil. I have used them for years. This fits the bill. The rotating lead is a game changer, perfect point every time. I also bought one for my 3rd grader, almost instantly perfected her writing, she has to not press hard and take her time. The lead is super smooth. All in all job well done!

Very good but bad eraser
The media could not be loaded. Pencil is amazing. Very smooth. I recommend getting Mr. Penn 0.5 lead for this. It’s very good lead. This pencil is very good, although the eraser was not the best to very small.

Amazing Pencil
The Uni Alpha-Gel Switch Mechanical Pencil is a great pencil for writing and drawing! The large body makes it good for those with larger hands, and the rubber grip acts as a cushion for your hand. It is a great pencil for long hours of writing. I would strongly recommend this pencil for anyone!

Favorite pencil
The media could not be loaded. I love this pencil as it helps keep the led smooth whenever I write. It’s my new favorite pencil besting the uni a-gel led pencil. Been using it for a while and it’s perfect I would recommend buying it but is kinda pricy for a pencil.

Buy It!!
Love this pencil!! I love stationary and have lots of different pens and pencils. This one is the one I now grab over the others. The grip is very comfy and I can write longer. Only complaint is the eraser. It's too small and doesn't come with replacements. I do have a regular eraser on the side so it's not too bad. Will probably buy 2 more to have.

Daily Driver
The gel material used for the grip part of the pencil is incredibly soft and elastic, making it comfortable to hold and preventing my fingers from getting tired during long writing or drawing sessions. The ability to switch between "Kurutoga mode" and "Hold mode" is also a fantastic feature. I found that the "Kurutoga mode" was perfect for when I wanted to write or draw with a certain finesse and density, while the "Hold mode" was ideal for when I wanted to write for longer periods of time with a more stable writing feeling. The pencil writes smoothly and the lead does not break easily, which is always a plus in my book. Overall, I highly recommend the Uni New "Alpha-Gel Switch" Mechanical Pencil to anyone looking for a high-quality writing or drawing tool that is both comfortable to use and versatile in its functionality.
