Works but mainly for unground use to stay up.
It is apparently designed for placing in the ground; however we want it for the burner next to the outdoor grill, therefore it won’t stay on if wind is over 2-3 mph. However we solved the problem by adding 1/2” button magnets with sticker on one side (or you can crazy glue them on) and then the magnets hold the aliminum screen on the burner’s edge, keeping it upright even in up to 15mph (so far) wind. This way we can also take it camping for the butane or propane burner. There may be other solutions, but this one work as well. Only better improvement if it had come with button magnets for versatility, but still recommend. The carry bag is a bit tight and thin so not sure how long it will last with a lot of use, but it does give you a place to keep it all folded up.

Excellent for Our Needs
LOL This may be advertised for camping, but I am using it at home to keep our large dog away from our food. She's a gentle hound/lab mix, so her nose is fine-tuned. We've been training, but sometimes her nose leads her astray. When she helped herself to a loaf of bread I had just taken out of the oven, I knew it was time to find a barrier . . . just didn't know what to get. Anyway I happened to see this on Amazon and realized it could be the answer. It's very light, closes up quickly, and blocks our furry girl from taking delicious smelling food from the stove or counter top. I know she could knock it over because it is light, but between the training and the Windscreen (or nose screen, in our case), she's not helping herself to our food. And if we ever decide to go camping, we already have a Windscreen!

I had to return mine
I had to return mine and I think someone else also did before too. When I received the product it had fingerprints so it looked like someone had returned it, but since I didn't have time to exchange before our camping trip, I decided to just use it. However I found out why these had been returned. First of all, the panels come apart too easily. The sticks that hold them together keep falling apart. Also, the wind actually gets through the gaps between panels, so it's not a great windscreen. It's also too light so it keeps tipping over. Do not recommend.

Much better than my old one
Much nicer than my 20 yr old generic folding wind screens. These are half the weight, and fold to half the thickness, for the same length and only 1/2 inch less height. I wrap with all 12 panels for protecting a very low flame when baking in a big pan in camp. Half as much might be enough for protecting a full flame in wind

Works with some help
So glad I bought this. Had a campout on the coast with 25 mph winds and never would have kept my Iwatani butane stove lit. That said, I needed to use heavy duty neodymium magnets through the aluminum to hold it to my stove or it would have never stayed up.It is super lightweight (from a car camping perspective), stows well, but is in need of a little help to stay standing in real wind. It serves my glamping needs.
