A few modifications
The Knipex 13 71 8 is pretty much the best all-in-one wire stripper you can get.I'm sure there are plenty of reviews that go in depth about the features, so I won't do that here. I just wanted to add my two cents about a couple of other things.I wasn't completely happy with this right out of the box, so I ended up making a couple modifications. First off, the jaws don't shut all the way, and the locking mechanism was too loose, so it actuates at undesirable times. I decided I would attempt to remove the spring and the lock and did so successfully. What I used was a T25 bit, a driver, a nail punch, and a hammer.First use the T25 and remove the pivot screw. It can be difficult to break loose, because it's set in place with some kind of locking glue. Once the screw is removed you will see a small spring that you can just take right out.To remove the lock, take your nail punch and put it in the hole on the back side of the lock. hammer out the pin and the lock will just fall right out.To put it back together just tighten down the pivot screw again and back it out about .25mm (ever so slightly). If you tighten it too hard the handles won't open. If you feel the need, you can add some Loctite for peace of mind.I much prefer them this way and I will probably be adding some electrical tape to the handles just for a little better grip. The only other thing I would like to add is that I highly recommend the Knipex 13 88 8 Electrical Installation Pliers. They have some small improvements that I prefer over this pair. First of all, they are insulated. Second, they have an almost needle nose tip with a smooth section to prevent damaging copper wire while looping. Third, they have a tradition plier opening that can be used for grabbing nuts, with a small section behind it for crimping. Lastly, the cross-cut section is longer and a better overall shape. The only downside is that they only strip 12 & 14 AWGHowever, it never hurts to have both on hand as I do.

High quality. Worth the money.
These wire strippers are a standout tool in any electrician or DIYer’s kit. The ergonomic design makes them incredibly comfortable to use, even during extended projects. They cut wire with ease, delivering clean, precise cuts without requiring excessive force. The grip is excellent, providing a secure, non-slip hold that boosts both safety and control. When it comes to stripping, they perform effectively and consistently, handling a range of wire gauges with precision. The high-quality construction is immediately apparent—these feel durable and built to last. Highly recommended for anyone who values performance and reliability in their hand tools.

Buy them.
Amazing! I’ve used Klein strippers and Milwaukee strippers. These are by far the best I’ve ever used. I’m mainly industrial and use stranded wire, absolutely no issue at all removing the insulation. Also the cutting portion are the best cutters I own. I don’t even bother carrying my diagonal cutters anymore because these work so good.

Very sharp and strips easily
I’ve been an electrician over 15 years. I’ve used a lot of different brands of strippers, these are my favorite so far. They cost 3x what most strippers do but if they last it will be worth it. Oh yeah, they cut MC like butter, better than using linemans pliers

great overall but not for live wire work. long metal jaw still grounds out with protected grips.
best electrical pliers I ever used. Just make sure you understand even though your hands are protected with the grps if you work with live wires 1/2 of those plier are bare metal. That mean if any part touches a grounded metal box trying to twist wires. In my case aluminum to copper pigtails with alumicoms they will do damage. Best case make sure you can shut off power, worst case be aware of how long the metal part really is as I found out late one night working live and just touched the edge of a decorative switch in a double I just had grounded. This was my last twist and I ark welded the small metal edge around the plastic on that switch even with electrical tape protecting the connections. The handles are great but if they are making live wire pliers perhaps try not to make them do too many jobs. make just linemen twisting live wire only as seperate tool.

Good tool that's worth the price.
This product is pricy, but you get what you pay for. I've used this many times to strip wires of various gauges and the fit and finish of this tool is head and shoulders above cheaper tools that I've used in the past.

Handle the product with care always!
Product is awesome. But the delivery wasn't good. Product was handled with no care. Not an Amazon driver. But an Amazon flex driver.

rarely do I buy something that really makes me smile...
LOVE THESE THINGS!!! Clean cuts, smooth strips, feels good in the hand, nice range for wire stripping size... I even like the plier ends for twisting wire and grabbing. Very nice and top three tools in my every-day pouch!
