My preference from years living in southern country.
Used this type for years. Life in the country (in Southern summers) says all I need to say. I've tried several types trying for a more attractive look but always come back to the nasty when full pull down strip of goo. I place them in the sun to warm up, for easier pulling. Put on house cleaning gloves, remove the tiny tack & pull GENTLY. I use a pushpin to hang the tiny red loop. I use these in my sun room where kitty feeding & litter boxes are kept. I wouldn't use them inside the house, too unappealing but they are great on patio & in sun room. Be sure to wear gloves when changing them out. !

I think it works on fruit flies if you have something to attract the flies
Fly strips work great for flies (not sure of the brand) but these do not attract fruit flies (FF). I caught 2 FF on 5 strips in 2 days. A small lid with apple cider vinegar caught at least 10. Buy this for flies but not FF.UPDATE: I'm editing my review because Stingmon Fly Strip DID catch fruit flies. This is an assumption: I think it caught the flies when I had something such as apple cider vinegar or a light beside the strip to attract the flies. This was sitting on top of a bowl with vinegar and dawn dish soap for approximately 24 hours. One attached image shows an 18 hour test with vinegar and dawn dish soap, the fly strip and another sticky trap. Another image shows the fly strip after 24 hours of being beside the vinegar. The same fly strip was opened about 3 inches on a desk before this test. So there were approximately 3 flies on it before the test.UPDATE 2: I'm adding updates because I want everyone to have honest reviews to make decisions and business is not hurt from inaccurate information. It appears that my assumptions were wrong. I think it helps to have the fly strip near something to attract the fruit flies but it's not always needed. Image labeled Image 4 shows fruit flies stuck to a strip without something to attract the flies. I added a paper towel with apple cider vinegar AFTER the flies we struck to it as shown in the image.Images labeled Image 2 and 4 are the same fly strip but images pictures taken on different days.Image labeled Image 5 shows fruit flies that I caught before I got the fly strips.Image labeled Image 3 was placed under a light that I kept on during the night.I updated the rating from 3 to 5 stars.I'm in South Eastern Florida, USA and I do not have fruit except for one apple in the refrigerator.

Worth trying.
We were impressed with the packaging and presentation. Nicely done. The tack that comes with it bent so easily that I used small nails to hang the strips. Our area is not too warm yet but we have millions of some type of small flying insects. A small fraction are sticking to the tape but that may change once it warms up and the tape becomes more sticky.

Worst Fly Tape I have ever seen
I recently had a phorid fly infestation and I needed a lot of fly tape to catch the adult flies after I took out their nesting places.I tried several brands and this one was the worst by far. The tape rips constantly, the cardboard tube doesn't stay attached. It's next to impossible to pull out the tape and on wind it. On top of all of that the flies either don't stick to it or don't like it because it catches 0 flies. Meanwhile the Raid branded ones I bought local for 1/5th the cost caught flies as soon as I unrolled them. This is a terrible terrible terrible product DO NOT BUY.Updating this review after a couple of weeks and this tape should just be thrown away. It's not sticky, it doesn't roll out, doesn't attract flies, does nothing but be a pain. If I pull one of these out and sit it next to ANY other brand I have tried, and this will end up with 0 flies and the other one will be full. I tested this several times and it was true for all of them.I can repeat this over and over DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Could be better, but does it's job.
The tacky strip works well. The tack used to hold them up, however is just too thin.

Perfect for the summer
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are really good. They work for the fly and the fruit flys the only thing is compromising having it hanging in sealed places lol
