Works as expected
These work well, just as expected, can easily apply hot or cold. They heat up very quickly so you have to be careful. I haven't timed it, but it seems around 20 minutes is enough time in the freezer to get some good cold application out of them, so with 6 per pack it is fairly easy to rotate them as needed to apply cold. I did manage to rupture one, but it was probably my fault for not paying careful enough attention. Given the price, can't complain. I have a wrist wrap that is designed to use a larger one of these that also ruptured (very early on). It has a little pouch for the hot/cold pad. So I started using these pads (both hot and cold) in it instead and it works well, these pads are smaller than the one that came with the wrist wrap, but I can slide them into the correct position and they will hold there. Of course, they are also great for icing a small area, e.g. a finger burn. They are small enough that you can also wrap them under a cloth bandage to hold them in place somewhere.

Perfect for the Gear VR!
Just like a lot of other people who purchased these, I purchased them for my Samsung Gear VR. I own a Galaxy S6, and it gets to very hot temperatures and thermal throttles; something you don't want while in VR. Because these are very small packs, they fit between your phone and the Gear VR's front plate, although I find it challenging to fully mount the front plate in some cases. If you squish the pack, it'll snap into place fully, but if you don't it'll mostly snap into place (some mounting points won't make full contact, but that's okay because it shouldn't fall off.)Because I live in a highly humid area, condensation is a problem. To remedy this, I rip off a piece of paper towel and place that between the pack and the back of my phone. Condensation still occurs on the front plate, and if you don't wipe it off every once in a while it'll start to drip. Because there aren't any electrical components on the front plate, I don't find myself wiping it off often because it's just water. As for play time, I get at least an hour out of these before the pack gets warm. Even then, heat will transfer to the pack and away from the phone further preventing thermal issues. I've only really tested this for an hour currently, but you can probably squeeze an additional half hour. Although, these come in a six pack, so if you stick them all in the freezer you can just replace the warm pack with a freshly frozen one. If you want to limit the condensation, you can also stick them in the fridge, but you probably won't get the same results as if you freeze them.I'm happy with this purchase, and I'm thankful I looked to the internet for other people experiencing thermal issues with their Gear VR. I don't expect to have any more thermal issues in the future thanks to these ice packs.

SOFT GEL REUSABLE ICE PACKS
These 3 x 5 inch soft gel ice packs freeze quickly and evenly. My wife uses them to relieve her foot pain. According to the instructions, the gel packs can also be heated in the microwave for 10 seconds to be used as hot packs but we haven't tried that yet.

Good size ice packs at a great cost
These are good size ice packs at a great cost. We've had them a few months now and they've lasted through multiple freezings as well as microwavings. They cool down very quickly, and stay cold for a very long time. I actually prefer to wrap them in a paper towel before applying them because of how cold they are. They seem to stay cold for circa 10-15 minutes, making them very useful. In terms of size, they're a bit small for larger regions, but very good around the neck/ankle regions. I mostly use this size for my jaw area. These are much better quality than the ones I previously bought at walgreens. They also have a much better price point. I strongly recommend them to anyone that uses icepacks as much as I do!

Fantastic little ice packs
We have used these gel packs a lot for tooth pain, swollen body parts (for whatever injury) and to just cool down quickly on a hot day.

Great small size and conforms to body shape
This may sound strange, but I use these when I do yard work. It gets hot and humid on the gulf coast, and I get overheated very easily. I put these individually into small plastic baggies and then tuck into my waistband, sports bra, bandana keeping the back of my neck cool. When it gets up into the high 90's-100 degrees, I work 20 minutes out and then take a 20 minute break inside and toss these back into the freezer. Since these are so flexible, I will use a bandana to secure them to my ankle, shoulder, etc. when I have post-workout aches and pains.

Worth it
Work as they should. Will be buying more in the future. Haven't had any of the problems as of yet that some of the other reviewers have had. I've had them for a month now with no complaints. Will update this further if any arise. And for the people that complain that these are too small learn how to read and get a bigger size then. And for those that say these warm up too fast or get cool too fast:1) They are about 3/4 the size of your hand so they won't stay a block of ice for an extreme amount of time. I personally think they stay cold for an adequate amount of time. And if they dethaw too fast for you, you get 6 and just pull out another and throw the dethawed one back in the freezer.2) These aren't meant to be hand warmers for when you're out hunting or in the cold so they won't stay warm for very long in those conditions. If you don't like it then buy the proper materials for the proper activity.

Ice packs are as hard as rocks when first removed from the freezer
I used to having ice packs that are not frozen solid. Especially when I use them on my back. In this case these do come out hard. But just after a few minutes they soften up
