Remember--a commercial medical kit is a starter set!
I regard commercial first aid kits of any kind to be starter kits--I have to keep the kit stocked, its contents cannot be allowed to become expired components, and no kit is a perfect match for my skill set and situation.I was a Red Cross first aid and CPR instructor in the 1990's for several years, but skills decay rapidly--and there's the continuing evolution of medical procedures. I put a trauma kit in my car for two reasons--first, if I need to save a life, I have the stuff--and second, if there's someone more skilled on the scene, I have the stuff. I'm 100% on the scene when I'm on the scene (sorry for the Zen logic) and there's a lessor chance that there's someone else better skilled on the scene who might not have their medical supplies with them. What I required was something reasonably compact that would stabilize a trauma victim for up to an hour so that the EMTs could take over on a living patient instead of a corpse. The kit had to be within a budget and frankly this kit was more expensive than I preferred but this kit came closer than other kits. I team this up with an ordinary first aid kit for minor injuries and reserve this trauma kit for major injuries. One thing I'm adding are several cheap Mylar blankets--necessary to stabilize a victim until the EMT with a mobile trauma center arrives. I need to put in a Sharpie or two, some paper casualty tags, and a few other communication devices so that when the professionals arrive they have all the information on the patient. I'm adding a tourniquet or two--they're for those "lose a limb or lose a life" situations and won't be used unless medical professionals are more than minutes away. There's a lot in that kit including airways, a stethoscope, and a blood pressure cuff. I'll have to educate myself better on using these things--so there's more classwork in my future! And if I run across an accident before I get skills, I leave these in the bag unused unless and until someone more skilled and educated arrives and use the components I do know how to use.Note that if I do use my trauma kit I expect it to be taken from me for a number of reasons. I have to regard emergency equipment as expendable. If it saves a life, it would be worthwhile to me.

Good kit for the money
These are great little kits, just missing a few things. I added combat gauze, TQ, glucose monitor, SPO2, and a SAM splint to make it an all around BLS kit to keep in our vehicle. For a career I am a Firefighter/ AEMT/ WEMT and my wife is a NP/ EMT/ WEMT, but we also volunteer with our local rural fire department and SAR team. We have used this kit to treat multiple patients and it has had everything we’ve needed (with the additions I made).

Great buy.
Thoroughly impressed with this medic bag. Every compartment is filled. I got this for traveling as well as to have my medications stored when traveling. This is just a nice bag all around, built very sturdy with good materials. You would not be disappointed with this but.

Fully Equip
The first aid kit has everything in it and the bag is good quality. Make sure you look at the measurements. I was buying this for a mission trip I am going on. It is very large so now I'm not sure I will be able to fit in my bag. Worst case my home will be set for years or I will donate.
