I just purchased these Vicks vapors and my son loves them. He sleeps a lot better, especially when he got a cold. There a great addition to rubbing Vicks under your child’s nose or on there chest. Also, they replace the need of filling up a vaporizer and lugging the water around. These are safe, easy, and efficient.

I absolutely love these for when my little ones get sick. I have one under 2 and when she gets stuffy there's not much you can do to help. These vaporizers are perfect to help her sleep. I really like that this one has 2 slots for the menthol pads. It works better for my large bedroom (one pad just wasn't enough to help). I appreciate that this one offers an option to cover the nightlight to dim it, but it's still quite visible as it's only covered by a thin piece of white plastic and the light is LED green. This one also offers adjustable release by use of a slider to adjust how much scent you get over time.Overall, these are amazingly helpful whenever someone is congested. We use them only for overnight so as to properly regulate the amount of menthol inhaled (too much can actually cause more nasal swelling and defeat the purpose), but there are instructions on the side to help with that. I highly recommend this to any parent of a sick kid (after checking with your pediatrician, of course!) and even for sick adults, too. Important note - this only comes with 4 menthol pads - you'll have to buy more separately.

When my young son got sick with a very stuffy nose, we ordered these to help with his congestion. He doesn’t like the vapor rub because of the burning sensation, so this is a nice alternative. These are VERY strong. After turning this on the lowest setting and leaving in my son’s room for less than two hours, I could smell the vapor from outside his door. Please note we were using this in conjunction with a humidifier. He didn’t seem to be coughing or complaining as much, but I worried that the scent being too strong would irritate him. After three hours I went into his room and removed it because of the strength of the product. I could still smell remnants of the vaporizer in his room the following morning. Seems great for large rooms and sick adults.

The vapor doesn't last more than 12 hours and it gets hot

I bought this while my wife and I were suffering from congestion from a head cold. We got tired of smearing Vicks under our noses every night before bed and I remembered when I was a child that my parents would put Vicks in a "vaporizer" that would fill the room with that smell of eucalyptus and gun grease and greatly relieved breathing difficulties caused by a stuffy nose. A little on-line research revealed this little plug-in device that, ostensibly, would provide the same relief but without the mess and hassle. Well, we were both sorely disappointed. We even bought an extra pack of the little strips that go in this thing. The directions say "DO NOT TOUCH" the exposed strips (after removing them from the wrapper) with your fingers. I don't know what happens if you do (Do your fingers fall off?) but that in itself makes this difficult to load and refill, which has to be done every night, by the way. After the first night's use, we did not notice any difference. There was no smell of Vicks in the room-- the only way to smell anything was if you put your nose very close to the unit where it was plugged into the wall outlet. The second (and several consecutive) nights I doubled-up on the strips (which the directions say you can do) but neither of us noticed any difference. It was, in my opinion, a complete waste of money, except that I used Amazon points to buy it. The extra strips, on the other hand, we paid cash for at our local pharmacy and they were expensive, considering they don't really work, as near as either of us could tell. We've gone back to the tried and true method of smearing Vicks under our nose whenever we have nasal congestion.

Overall product is great and the smell is Awesome the menthol helped feel like you could breath better instantly! But unfortunately the pads burn out to fast! (Up to 8 hours) You will have to keep changing them. It came with 4 and I need more already and only used 2 nights. I think I'll do better with the vicks vape steamer for my sons sinuses issues!

Got this when we were all sick & we loved it. It smells so good & helped us get rest!
