Fabulous for ice cream
Been using pulp for passion fruit butter. Excellent but difficult to find (I’ve now located some in my local Mexican market). In the meantime I tried this for passion fruit ice cream. My wife is wild about it in Hawaii. The concentrate save time in not having to remove the seeds. It is shelf stable until opened and is relatively cheap. I thought it might have an advantage in ice cream because it is concentrated.I was right. She prefers it to the stuff we eat in Hawaii.1 1/2 cups half and half.1/2 cup concentrate3/4 cup (or more after tasting) sugarPinch of saltDump it in your ice cream machine and give it a whirl.Happy wife. Liven up your day & wake up your taste buds!
Adds delicious tropical fruit zing to any beverage. I like it with hot tea, iced tea, apple juice, orange juice, lemon lime soda or ginger ale. One to two teaspoons is plenty for me! Most of the complaints seem to be people that have tried drinking it straight. This is highly concentrated and tart!

Tastes pretty good
Expensive for a juice drink concentrate, but it is so hard to find Passion fruit juice. Each bottle makes a lot though. Great mixed with a little pineapple and/or orange juice and vodka or rum. Just pour a splash in with any fruit juice or smoothie for a nice tart change. Also makes great homemade Popsicles. Serve cold. My only complaint is the cost.

Sugar free
I was excited to receive the passion fruit juice concentrate because it is sugar free. I’m trying to reduce my alcohol consumption by substituting mocktails. Because this juice is unsweetened I can add sparkling water and a pretty champagne flute and I have a mimosa. Be aware that without sugar, the concentrate is quite tart so it lacks the more vibrant flavor intensity of sweetened juice.

Good Buy!
I come from Guangzhou where passion fruits are so cheap- around one dollar for a pound when they are in season. When I first introduced passion fruit to my husband he absolute fell in love with them. We actually found them in some grocery stores here in the U.S. But the price is insane, usually 3 bucks a piece. And, they are small and not very fresh. This is really something we have been craving. Now we are glad we can get this concentrated juice online. This one is quite good, especially for this price. They do have preservatives, and it comes in a plastic bottle. But the flavor is so good, that we enjoy it anyway. We just ordered again, a dozen of them.

Sour taste
This product is the sourest passion fruit I have ever tasted. I grew up in a location where I had the plant in my yard and enjoyed the fruit flavor and taste. This one has the flavor but it must be from a very sour variety. I freeze in an ice try and then use it to flavor my Kefir. I have to add about 3x more honey to make the Kefir drinkable. I ended up making it a juice by adding lots of coconut sugar and honey which somehow masked the passion fruit flavor

If you are expecting this to taste like fresh passion fruit (and I would know
If you are expecting this to taste like fresh passion fruit (and I would know, I grew up in Hawaii and had lots of it), then you will be disappointed. It does not taste like frozen passion fruit pulp either (which can be found in some Mexican grocery stores in the mainland US). I would liken it to the same difference in flavor a minute maid bottle of orange juice tastes to eating a navel orange fresh. The flavor is not nearly as tart and there is a weird and faint bitterness/after taste. HOWEVER, saying all this, if you cannot get fresh or frozen passion fruit/pulp, this is a decent alternative. To help make the flavor closer to the real thing, one just needs to add fresh lemon juice to bring up the tartness and hopefully enough sugar to wipe away the bitterness. I used this product to make passion fruit curd/butter/jam, and after adjusting recipes by adding more sugar and fresh squeezed lemon juice, I was able to nearly imitate a fresh passion fruit taste.

Dafruta delivers taste closest to fresh squeezed
A fresh, un-heated taste, much better tasting (in our own side-by-side blind comparison) than Maguary. First time tasting passionfruit juice was fresh squeezed, so wasn't sure we would be able to find a bottled concentrate that we liked. So many "passionfruit" food items seem to bear no resemblance to the taste of the fresh passionfruit. No wonder it isn't more popular. Dafruita delivers on the memory of the fresh squeezed juice. We bought it for use in cocktails, but it has become our favorite non-alcoholic refresher, just mixed with seltzer or water. Concentrated flavor goes a long way, making the price more palatable too!
