EVERY BLADE IS AN ORIGINAL WORK OF ART
I ordered five "American Eagle" kukris from this seller, with the intention of choosing one for myself and another for my husband. I ended up getting two for myself, and my husband adores the one I gave him. The quality is impressive. These blades are THICK and will certainly hold up to some serious chopping, and many other tasks. There were slight differences between the individual blades, which is to be expected with any handmade item. I encourage anyone considering a purchase to look up the history behind this knife, as it is fascinating. One of the knives I bought for myself is the half-sized kukri, which is just too adorable for words. I intended to use the small knife only in the kitchen, but it may well be the most versatile blade I've ever owned, as it is every bit as well-made and sturdy as the larger kukris. This seller does stand by their work with pride, so you may buy with confidence.

Well made, durable. Better design than standard Kukri. Rusts easily!
This is a well-made product as opposed to some of the cheaper versions out there. The blade comes sharp, but not razor sharp, which is appropriate as this is primarily knife used for chopping. That said I have used it for several tasks and found it to be quite versatile. I specifically chose this model because of the finger guard and I find this to be reassuringly safe, particularly if your hands get wet or sweaty. It is a relatively heavy knife, but it is balanced. The full tang option in my opinion is the best way to go for balance as well as longevity. The one downside to this knife is that it does rust very easily. You should probably coat it with oil after every significant use. If this had been made of a more stainless type of steel, it would be perfect. Hence the four stars.

Broke with first use
This knife arrived quickly and well packaged. I’ve had many kukris before and they all have their unique marks of handmade craftsmanship. This one is no different as can be seen in the pictures. The butt, finger guard and blade don’t form a straight line. And the handle is off center of the blade. These are minor imperfections but the first time I used it, the tip broke! I wasn’t even using the tip. I emailed them twice before this review with plenty of time for a response and still I haven’t heard back from them. I think I’ll stick with ex gurkha kukri house from now on for my kukri orders
