Patterns for College Writing: A Rhetorical Reader and Guide

on the digital version part of chapter 2 covering exercise 7 is gone. it just jumps back and forth then jumps to understanding thesis and support. whenever you try to "flip" to the next page a huge black vertical bar appears then cycles through "clustering ideas" then to "understanding thesis and support".

I just received this book today, and I have mixed feelings about the state the book is in. When a book is described as “good” quality, I expect some slight damage here and there. A few tears, folds, scribbling, etc would have been fine by me since I’m not buying a brand new book; however, the cover and a huge chunk of pages after the cover have been damaged by some sort of spill?? It’s not that big of a deal, but it’s still gross to me since I don’t know what kind of liquid was spilled on it. Also one of the corners was ripped off of the back cover. Most of the pages are still decent, though, so I’m not that disappointed by the quality.

I thought it was gonna be in better conditions. But still work for what I need: the content inside.

I ordered this book for a class in college. I got it in good conditions, but once I started using the book, the pages just slip off. I don't want a replacement because the chapters are highlighted now, but I want a discount for sure. What kind of publisher will do a cheap work like this with the book?
