Works just like it should - when you do what you're supposed to do.
Ok so this was my first time installing something on my 2010 Ford Edge (I typically work on 90s Toyotas), so a little help for some that may not have much installation experience and so you can learn from my mistakes. I got the panel off under the column but not without breaking off one of the snap in tabs - it needs to be pulled straight back toward the rear of the car to remove - I was pulling down a bit. Once that was done everything was plug and play (purchased Nov. 2024). I did have an issue with programming that I was able to resolve after watching a youtube video from 4 years ago installing in the same make and model vehicle. Turns out I had missed the instruction on my 2010 Ford Edge to cut a particular wire (violet with yellow stripe near the larger white connector), because there was a violet and yellow wire in a bullet crimp connector I assumed was what they were referring to. I plugged that back in and cut the proper wire near (1.5" from the connector) the larger white plug (which had a sticker on it stating it needed to be cut, with the exception of a few models) and after that the programming worked just as it should.Once you turn the first key to the on position it changed the red led off and yellow led on for a brief period, and once removed the red led lit back up with the other leds off. Then the red led turned off briefly when the second key was turned to the on position. In the youtube video it stated that after removing the second key, you should hold the programming key for a few seconds until the ignition turned on without a key. These were helpful pieces of information that made the programming go well for me, and maybe they will help you too.

Works Perfectly and Easy Install
I recently installed the Factory Remote Activated Remote Start Kit for my 2008 Ford Edge, and it’s been awesome. The installation process was straightforward, and it worked perfectly with my factory key fob. Now, I can start my car remotely, which is a game changer, especially on cold mornings or hot summer days. It gives the car plenty of time to warm up or cool down before I get in. I love the convenience, and it’s been reliable since I installed it. If you want to add a remote start to your Ford Edge, I highly recommend this kit!

Works great
Everything was direct plug and play into oem wiring. Including the plug into the obd wiring. Seen videos where others had to splice into two wires at the obd but mine didn't. Also for the remote start sequence mine was lock unlock lock. Not Lock x3 like in some videos. I noticed this when my remote start wasn't working and I reread the written instructions. Quick and easy install. Done in 15 mins or less.Con:Distance on factory remote isn't all that, if park a little far.

Does not work.
Product did not program. Uninstalled and reinstalled repeatedly being careful to follow instructions. Bought extra flashing device and attempted alternate installation procedure per tech support. No success. Returning items.

Super easy
Ordered for my wife’s 09 edge. Followed the instructions and had an issue with the “brain box” emailed customer service and got a response the same day. sent me the fix and instructions now working just as they say!! Super easy install
