Really great books
Really great, far future, diverse sci-fi. I devoured the series far too quickly and want more!I.bought the series so I could loan them to friends and reread them at some point.

Very fun story line
I loved the story, with totally 'human' characters, but living in a very different world. Some slight problems for me in following who is actually who, and how are they related to others, but eventually I think I caught on to that part of the plot. They are very long books, and at my advanced age I have a lot of reading to catch up on, so I could have managed with maybe 100 less pages in each book, but alas, that seems to be the way of publishing now - Like restaurants, they all seem to thing More is Better, when I am usually satisfied halfway through a meal.

Interesting, inventive story
Jemisin has created a world (distant future earth?) where the enemy is not aliens or monsters, but the earth, itself. Strong characters, with flawed characteristics; i.e. human. It is a captivating story, rich, and detailed. However, a minor irritant--the third book has a constantly shifting point of view which can get a little confusing. If you don't try to keep every detail in focus in your mind, it can be overlooked. Overall, a very good trilogy.
