Vincool Anodized Aluminum Shifter Stop Removal for 2015+ WRX/2010-2014 Legacy/Outback/2014+ Forester Red

The shifter stop itself feels solid and works well.However, the bolts and washers it comes with are cheap. The bolt doesn't even feel like it's made of metal. It definitely is not magnetic -- I tried to keep the bolts and washes in a magnetic tray while i did the work, and they are definitely not magnetic. The bolt feels cheap just running your nail across the threads. And after using a properly fitted allen wrench / hex key, I could already see dents and the malleability of the bolt. These bolts aren't holding down anything that will take tons of impact, but time will tell how they hold up to shifting over the years.Also, this product came with a QR code for the installation video -- well the QR code doesn't work.After installation, is working well so far.I would recommend still getting this product, and for peace of mind, taking the bolt to home depot or similar hardware store and finding a better quality bolt that matches the size. Should be 10mm bolts, but not sure about the rest of the sizing. And while you're at it, might as well get a better washer.

So I bought this product to save some money instead of buying the Perrin equivalent. "You get what you pay for".. etc etc people were telling me, but once I received the product, I was happy even before the install. The stop-gap was virtually indicticle to the look of Perrin, and one thing that made me very happy: it was heavy; it is NOT some piece of junk plastic. It is strong, and while I didn't try and break it (obviously), I could tell it was made with quality metal. Also, the extra hardware was included which was awesome, as I prepared mentally to make a trip to Home Depot for some washers if necessary. I installed it on my 2015 Subaru WRX (took all of 10 minutes, tops) and was amazed by how well my car shifts now just because of this little product. I've only used it for about 2 months now, but no problems thus far! I would definitely recommend buying this FIRST, then only getting Perrin if you WANT name brand....in a place no one will ever see...and which no one would be able to tell even if they were driving the car.

Exactly like a brand name counter part except way more affordable. Fit my 17 WRX without any issues and works exactly like the Perrin. Why spend more on an item you'll never see?

Works as stated. After getting rid of the 1 & 2 slop today I realized how much I hated now. Be prepared to be irritated installing this as you tighten it down it'll move and you won't be able to get in gear. So take your time tightening it down slow, while holding it in place. Check and recheck going into each gear.

Worked great with my 2015 wrx. Install wasn’t too difficult, just a tight fit when putting in the washers. I looked up “install wrx shift stop” and just watched a video and it was easy. Tool needed 10 mm socket, 7mm wrench and Allen set.

Perfect. 5 minutes to install. Works perfectly. Why spend 5x more on a name brand?

Installed this in my 2019 crosstrek today. Works just as good as my name brand one in my WRX. Great deal! Fixes the slop side to side in 1-2 and 5-6.

Exact same as the name brand with out having to pay for the name. No installation issues, just be careful with those 7mm nuts, lost one so I bought a few extras at the hardware store.
