Obviously, online it is difficult for the seller to show you what material is made of. I got quite a nice surprise when this arrived! It is more like a 4oz Oxford canvas, the type used to make carry holdalls from. (Fact, it I need to construct a bag in future, I may buy one of these rather than buy by the metre on ebay) It is quite thick at 180 - 200grams /square metre. I purchased to cover a 2mtr decorating table ... and there is gonna be lots of material over, (and a lot of sewing for me to do !) Very pleased with the purchase

I am happy with this table cloth it fully covers a 6FT rectangle table, it hides the legs also.
