Sleek
Nice looking magnets at a strong but lower pound holding power then some others. The purpose is to hold the straps on my iPad case while I'm in stores doing demos with product demos running on it. I wanted something strong enough to hold the iPad so someone couldn't easily grab it and run, and also be able to get it off myself without marring store displays. Perfect for that purpose. It's difficult to remove with a direct pull, easier if you slide it. And toward that point, I'm not sure how much weight it would hold if it's mounted vertically with something hanging from it. You might want to get something stronger. The 80 lb appears to be for direct pulls, It's fairly easy to slide.

Bought instead of Bagnet
I bought this because I am a parent of a toddler and we are carrying around a restaurant bag and diaper bag. I noticed a lot of the time there are no hooks whether at the restaurant or bathroom. I figured I can attach these magnets on the bags and magnetize it to whatever, so it’s versatile in that way. It worked! We find ourselves magnetizing this on to each other more than magnetizing it to the bathroom wall or restaurant. Which is fine with us! It works when we need it to. It’s strong, don’t get ur fingers pinned between 2 of them. Size is small and mighty. Love the carabiner aspect of it!

Nice, but misleading.
So, these do work really well and are pretty strong, but 80lbs.? I don't think so. I hung a 20lb. weight to one, but when I added another 12lbs., it fell. I don't need them to hold that much weight, but if you do, you will need 4.

An adventure in "bag tag" substitution
In 2006 someone told me that if you put your purse on the floor it means you will lose money. Ever since then I've been pretty poor. I'm not generally superstitious but I figure it can't HURT to not put my $100+ bag on the floor. After all, it has all my chapstick in it (and other important-ish items.)I've been having a problem with the crumbling bathroom infrastructure here in Vegas. Most stalls I visit do not have a hook to hold your bag. I've tried hovering while holding the bag but it just wasn't practical. This forces me to put my lovely purse on public bathroom floors. (I pee a lot.) I think of that superstition EVERY TIME. I can't even remember the name of the girl who told me that but it has haunted me for 17 years. So thank you, girl at random bar for changing the entire trajectory of my life. RUDE.Superstition aside, putting my purse on a disgusting bathroom floor is still pretty gross. I wanted one of those bag tags but I didn't $50 DOLLARS want a bag tag. (I mean, come on that's almost as expensive as the whole bag!) I thought this would make a good substitute (at least until I cave and buy the cute one.) Besides, I'm skeptical that the bag tag actually working so I'd rather throw $10 at it than $50.First off, DO NOT try this out on your stainless steel refrigerator. Or if you do, NOT in front of your boyfriend. He was preeeetty annoyed because it scratched. So that test was a fail that resulted in a lot of OMG WTF lecturing. However, I'm not afraid to scratch up the metal of a bathroom stall so whatever. Then I immediately went on vacation. Traveling abroad leaves you in a lot of creepy bathroom situations, like that time I took a shower while sitting on a toilet. But I carry tiny travel purses and they usually get ruined anyway. I brought the magnet with me but I'm pretty sure all that did was make TSA search my stuff. Travel purses can just be around your body while you pee because they're basically fanny packs. So not much use for the bagnet on vaca. When I got home I was able to test it on my every day purse in the bathroom of a breakfast place. The magnet immediately began to slide down the stall. The only way to make it work was to put the magnet under the door handle. Even then it didn't look stable and I feared it would fall. It did not, but I had a pretty nervous extra fast pee about it.Maybe I just have a very fat purse? So when I got home I checked using the bathroom scale. 3.3LBS. My bathroom scale usually weighs me like 15-20LBS heavier (obviously) so I admit that could be inaccurate. Then I used the mail scale. 3.5LBS. I don't know if that qualifies as a fat purse or not, but there is not a 70LB margin of error here.Overall this is a strong magnet that scratches your fridge, makes TSA suspish, and will keep an itty bitty bag on a bathroom stall MAYBE. I'd say my bag is average. This is a cool magnet and I might use it to help secure my bag on an ATV for my next vacation, but it's not working the way I'd hoped. Still, I won't send it back because I put my purse on the ground a lot and losing money is kind of my curse now.My next idea is to just get a carabiner and secure the purse to the stall handle. I did that with the magnet anyway and the carabiner would be much lighter and less awkward to carry around. I have no idea why "magnet" was my first thought instead of "hook" -- I guess I'm not a good life hacker. I'm sure I will find an alternative use for this, so I don't think it's overall a bad purchase. I suspect the fancy bag magnet would have gotten a similar result, so I'm just happy I didn't spend $50 on that. I think I can find an alternative use for this one, but the fancy one would have been a total loss.

Terrific Magnet
These are the very best magnets I have ever seen. I use them to hold flags on my carport. They hold up even on windy days. Outstanding quality at an excellent price!

Fantastic magnetism, worked perfectly on my cruise, highly recommend.
Impressive. They held up well on my cruise, sticking to the cabin walls and managing to support various bags of varying load. I've also found them handy in restaurants where metal surfaces are available - it doesn't take much. Overall, they're affordable, portable, and a practical addition to have, even with some limitations.
