Huge Improvement Over Stock Grips
I just received my new VZ grips and I am very impressed with the quality. They fit perfectly - better even than the wooden grips that came with the gun. The grippy etching is awesome. It will help keep this massive revolver in your hand where it belongs despite the incredible recoil from the .44 Magnum round. This grip is only slightly wider than the stock ones, so if you need a big stock, you might need to scrap the round butt design and go with a square convert. However, if you intend to carry this one concealed, stick with these grips. Mine is a snub nose S&W 629 that is easy to carry with the smaller grips.I ordered the grey/black ones and I returned them because they were lighter in color than they are in the pictures. It would be fine for my girlfriend's gun, but it's a little too feminine for me. I returned them for the dark cherry color which will be here tomorrow. Until then, enjoy my photos of the grey version. I'll come back and update with new shots tomorrow.

S&W 627 - great performace, fit, and value! Would purchase again
Put these on a smith and wesson 627 ( 170133 ) fit and finish to the gun looks like it was hand fitted at the factory, even on the back strap. Total install took about 5min. When ever i buy gloves my hand seems to always be a medium. These grips felt good in the hand of not too fat or too skinny. Finger groves lined up nicely. I did get the textured. At first i thought itwas going to be too aggressive. Run about 200 rounds now. They grip well for me but were not too aggressive. The little extra length on the bottom o get the pinky was a lot nicer over the factory grip.I would rate my self as an average skill level that gets to the range every few months. I would certainly purchase again based on function, fit, and color (in that order of importance )

High quality grips for my S&W 629 Performance Center 2.6” 44 Magnum
I acquired these for my S&W 629 Performance Center 2.6” 44 Magnum. The factory wood grips only allow a four finger grip which is inadequate for a caliber of this magnitude.G10 material is water resistant and extremely durable. The grips have excellent weapon retention due to the contour. It gives me great control, and it rivals rubber grips for recoil mitigation.Installation was very easy and only took 5 minutes. It is stable, and the fit is perfect without requiring additional sizing. The color is embedded into the material and is uniform. These are some of the best grips made for any revolver for quality, control, value and durability. They do not interfere with loading the cylinder with speedloaders, unlike rubber grips. They allow a faster and more efficient draw since there is less friction, when compared to rubber.Definitely recommend these grips for your N frame S&W revolver.

Comfort and Quality
These are excellent grips. The stubby factory grips that come with the 629PC snubbie are decent but these are a definite improvement. I can get all 3 fingers on the grip. The finger grooves are in the perfect place. Firearm is much more controllable with heavy loads vs standard. I almost got the Predator Green coloring but I'm happy with the red (they almost look like a very dark mohagany wood).

Great grips, fits like a Glove and helps with Recoil!!
Love V-Z grips these are a Great deal! I can hold my 627-PC 8x .357Mag. 2.6" way easier now! I have really small hands and am very recoil sensitive, I had a hard time getting a good firm grip the the standard 2 finger slot wood grips but now I can get all 3 fingers placed nicley and evenly, it feels like a glove just like any other VZ product I own! Defiantly worth the money, ESPECIALLY if you have small hands, or want to soak up some extra recoil like 44mag, or if you are just recoil sensitive like I am it makes the world of difference to felt recoil and control. Plus they look AWESOME!

Good quality but small and panels can slide
These on an N frame are not enough grip surface to control that size of a gun and draw with enough speed and control. They do feel nice once drawn but again when the recoil begins they are a small area holding a lot of gun movement. They look fantastic. The two panels are separate so aligning them onto the grip is a careful task and you need to crank the torx screw. Overall these are nice but expensive for what you get spit out of a CNC or mold. I like their pistol grips a little better.

Smaller than I expected (but that's a good thing)
Like most others, I was very pleased with the overall fit and quality of these. There were no sharp edges on the front strap where the finger grooves are, and the fit to the backstrap was exceptional. There is no wiggling or shifting. My only minor complaint would be that the so-called ears that stick up on the side of the frame did not fit well at all. Given what I've just praised them for, that was surprising. Not going to knock off a star, though. I'm always leery of buying revolver grips with finger grooves, because my hands are smaller than average, and I never seem to be able to match my fingers up with the grooves and still have a high hold on the frame of the revolver. It was close with these, but they work for me, if only barely. This is not a knock on the VZ grips, if my hands were average or even slightly above average they would be perfect. They are close enough to perfect that I will keep them though and be quite happy with them. My hands, when outstretched flat on a table, measures just under 8 inches from the tip of my thumb to the tip of my little finger. So if your hands are this size or bigger you'll be fine. If your hands are really large, that might be a different kind of problem. The checkering does not seem too sharp or aggressive, although I might change my mind after 20 or 30 magnum loads are touched off.I heartily recommend these. 79 bucks is a little stiff, but the fit (mostly) and quality probably justifies it.

Way too small.
These grips were not for me, they were MUCH smaller than they look in photographs. With my large hands, they would have made the gun difficult and uncomfortabl6to handle. I gave them 3 stars because despite that, they were top quality and attractive....just not on my N Frame revolver. On a gun that size, they just looked silly.
