Great resource
For someone who is pretty fluent in astrology, chakras & decoding charts this book has been such an excellent resource to dive deeper and get a better understanding of what human design is and how we can infuse its teachings into our daily lives for more ease and Purpose.Highly recommend for a beginner or as a great overall reference boom.

My favorite introductory book to human design
The media could not be loaded. I found this book to be the most useful and fun to read out of all the beginner level human design books. I like how it is organized and visually presented. I also like how at the end he gives you examples of charts of famous people you know to help you understand how it all works together and then he gives you their reading, well at least a couple page reading. The book goes over how to understand your chart, the nine centers whether defined or undefined, the five personality types, there's a whole section on your authority and how to work with that, then there's a section on the 36th channels, the next section is on the 64 Gates with his own unique name for them and they are also categorized within each Center, the next section is on understanding your profile and the 12 different profiles, then lastly he pulls it all together by a section called living your design.

Wonderful introduction to and overview of Human Design
Wonderful introduction to and overview of Human Design. It covers to a fairly decent depth the multi-various facets of Human Design in fairly cogent fashion.I felt I couldn't quite nail down or grock some of the personality trait descriptions for the paths and gates. For example, for my own profile (a 4-1), the book recommends using the gate of your Conscious Sun to show you (or me in this case) what your specific main path is in this life, and I personally didn't a clear sense from the description of what that was. What I could glean from the passage didn't resonate strongly with me. A person might say that I just haven't been conscious of my "mission," but 1) I am at least somewhat tuned into myself, my approaches, activities, and energies that fulfill me, help me grow, and offer brightly to the world, so I think the contents of the passage alluded to should have landed quite strongly; and 2) the gate referred to is considered by the system a "conscious" gate (meaning that it's a trait I already am aware of in myself), which is another reason the passage should have palpably obvious to me. It wasn't.Table of Contents and Book Layout: I have the book on my Kindle; I am not aware of how the Table of Contents is laid out in the paperback, but the gates are not described in order in the book (there's 64 of them, and they're subdivided by the Centers, thus they are not in numerical order from 1-64.) It would be nice to have Gates and the Centers and all of the other various personality facets included as sub-sections within the chapters in the Table of Contents, so that I could go to them immediately and not have to thumb through each page within a giant chapter to find them. On the Kindle, you can put in Bookmarks, but what a task!

Easy to read and understand
I love this book! It's very well-written and easy to understand. After reading this book, I ended up knowing more about some things than my "certified" human design coach. This book has helped me understand myself better and have compassion for the ways I just don't want to hustle like so many others (I'm a Projector). Hubs is an MG, and it's helped us understand each other. Super cool!

Get clear insight into yourself, your children, your relationships and more
I am a professional astrologer and several years ago I first stumbled across Human Design. I had an inner recognition that there was something profoundly insightful about this strange-looking chart that could potentially fill in gaps in my astrological readings. I wanted to know more. I spent time trying to learn about this system from the man who channeled it through(Ra Uru Hu) and his school(Jovian) but was stymied at every turn by the confusing jargon, endless expense, and dark, dogmatic, narrow and often negative interpretations. My inner sense told me that what was being presented was not clean and clear enough. At the time I was about to give up my quest I found Chetan Parkyn and this book. For the first time there were clean explanations that clearly showed the potential for liberating insight that would help me, and my clients, let go of the negative conditioning taken on from the environment and settle into personal truth and integrity. This book is a wonderful introduction and foundation for learning about Human Design and it is the only one I ever recommend to clients or friends who wish to learn more on their own after having a session with me. If you have never heard of Human Design before this is the place to start. If you know about Human Design already and are ready to jump off the Jovian bandwagon and begin to explore a more holistic, integrated and open-ended approach this is a great beginning but it is only the beginning. For me this book was the start of an exhilarating journey into learning more about Human Design and having greater tools with which to work with my clients and myself. For many readers what they find here will be more than enough to profoundly change their lives and provide fuel for continuing growth. Does this book cover every detail, perspective, and nuance of a deeply-layered system? No, but it is the perfect introduction and is complete within itself. With Human Design, like so many esoteric systems, there is always more to learn and after reading this book if one feels the call to it there are deeper layers, teachers such as Chetan and others, and self-experimenting that can enlarge your vision. I highly recommend the journey.
