The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their fathers death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today.

Very comfortable
These boots are very comfortable and fit great. The style looks good and I can wear these off the job site no proble. The leather seems durable and well supported in the foot. They slide on really easily compared to other pull on's Ive had. I tried a pair of Ariat Workhog Composite Toe boots before these but had to send the Ariat boots back because they hurt my feet and were too narrow. These fit perfect. After four days of consecutive wear with lots of walking and extended standing, these things are holding up great. I had to go to a EE because my right foot is wider than my left foot. I just wish that I could order two different sizes since my left is a D and my right is an EE. That's the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, because my left foot is swimming and my right is perfect.

My husband loves his new boots! We could not find these in our boot store so off to Amazon we go. He says the jmax is even more comfortable than the original double comfort that he's had for the last 6 years. Only taking off a star due to him having to reapply wax/oil (I'm not sure which, sorry I'm just the wife!) every time he gets around dirt n dust as they show very heavily. Still he loves em.

Justin Boot Size & Construction Issues
I wear size 10 shoe & boot. Based on this, I ordered a size 10. This J-Max boot, is 1/2+ size larger., even wearing heavy (toe & heel) athletic socks. After contacting Justin, I was told the J-Max boot & many of their other boots, run 1/2 size larger, I should have ordered a 9-1/2. The width is also wider, should have been a width less. 2 colleagues, ordered this same J-Max boot, they as well have the same problem, boots were 1/2+ size to large. Justin, needs to state in their online AD, "J-Max boot runs 1/2 size larger, than the boot the customer currently wears", or, if all their boots run 1/2 size larger, state such in the Ad. Construction of boot, is not near as good as advertised. Soles on my J-Max boot, have worn down 75%, after being worn, 5 days per week, 4-6 hrs per day, for 5 months.

Well. As I watched Justins video on how the boot should fit or how loose it should be. I had already worn them to work twice thinking they would maybe form to my foot. But the left boot is literally much larger than the right. And having worn them to work twice. They got a bit scuffed up. So my lesson is just to pay the retail price and get them from a store where you can wear them on the spot.

I love these!
These are the most comfortable and durable composite toe boots that are made in the USA. If you work in an industry that needs composite toe boots with an ASTM rating, look no farther. I have worn Thorogoods and Red Wings that are composite toe and they are all made in China. They only lasted about a year or so before the stitching and sole started to fall apart. These are the boots you want!
