Mine only works when I press down on it, am I missing a step before use or is mine defective?

Does this only light up when it senses motion around it? I thought it was a regular nightlight?

This lights up when it is dark (and automatically turns off when it’s light). Very cool product!

Does the 'blue,yellow,white' one change colors too? If so does it change between those three colors or what?

The mushroom that is red in the picture, rotates through the colors. The other 2 don't change, but have the appearance that they change, due to reflected light from the center one. It's nice for the money, my wife loves it.
