Was a gift for a family member.

I was a little nervous to order this basket being that it said 2016. To my pleasure, its beautiful! The "basket" is tin and looks really nice, I'm sure it can be re-purposed. The item says 2016 and because it was a gift I didn't open the plastic wrap so I'm not sure if the chocolates were expired (reason for 4 stars on "giftable"). The placement of the chocolate was great and the overall appearance is great! I gifted this to a vendor and she loved it, since it was a gift, however, I have no comment on the taste!

I bought this as a last-minute Christmas gift but ended up not giving it to anyone (long story). I'm so glad I didn't give it as a gift to anyone, because I would have been extremely embarrassed at the terrible quality of these items. A week or two after Christmas, I finally opened the items myself, and as some other reviewers have said, every item was inedible.I opened one of the truffles first before seeing anything else, and I noticed that the one I opened looked melted or crushed with the filling spilling out of it. I thought they were just melted/crushed so I went ahead and ate it. I could immediately tell something did not taste right, so I spit it out in the trash and looked at the other items. The chocolate bars had completely fallen apart, all of the truffles were sunken in with the filling coming out as if they had melted or been crushed (but that doesn't explain the strange taste), and the chocolate on the graham crackers, as well as what was left of the bars, had huge amounts of discoloration (picture of the bars and the graham crackers attached). I did open the hot chocolate, and it looks fine, but I'm not going to drink it because obviously something is wrong with every other item in the basket, so I'm not going to risk drinking that.The only expiration dates I can see on a couple of the items indicate that the items don't expire for another few months, so I have no idea what caused all of the issues with these items. I've purchased Godiva items on Amazon a couple of times before as last-minute gifts, including a different red basket at the same time as this white basket, and the quality has always been great. I'm not sure why every item in this basket is in such a bad state, but I'm very relieved that I didn't not give this as a gift.If you plan on giving this as a gift, I recommend going to the store and getting the items in person and making your own basket instead. If you still decide to purchase this as a gift, then understand that the quality may be hit or miss!

i ordered the baskets but did not actually see them. the feedback that i got was good.

It's all packaging and hardly anything in it. I got it for a co-worker and had to get her something else I was embarrassed she would think I was stingy! I ended up eating it myself and the stuff was stale too. Beware the pretty "looks".

I bought 2 Godiva Chocolatier Gift Basket , one for my family and other for my work. Shipping came on time but I was expecting a much bigger Basket for 100$ each. The display image doesn't do it justice, its A LOT smaller. Now i have to buy another basket. I'm disappointed, this is one of the cons of shopping online
