3D printed rack mountable 12 slot 3.5" drive shelf
I used these on a rack mountable 3.5" drive shelf I 3D printed. I used 2 minisforum MS-01's, installed a LSI Logic SAS 9300-8e SGL LSI00343 HBA, which allows me to use an external SAS to 4 port SATA cable to connect to the drives. It works great for a home lab. These SATA power adapters allow me to put the drives in and pull them out even though my setup isn't hot swappable. I just power the MS-01's down, then do the drive swapping.

As a result of this adapter I can boot into my hard drive.
Thank you very much for everything I appreciate it sincerely!! This adapter enabled my broken SATA data connection to work again. I'm able to boot into windows 7 pro successgully!! Before I got this adapter, I thought that I would have had to scrap my hard drive. I'm relieved that I found the L piece of plastic and inserted it into the adapter after using twisers to straighten the connections on the hard drive . Then I put the adapter on carefully. It was a challenge to get the adapter to connect but it did slide on . I plugged it in and tested it. Then I put hot glue on the sections connecting the adapter to the hard drive on both the top and the bottom to make it stay permanently. Thank you very much for having this adapter available, it saved my hard drive!!!

good, mostly-tight fit, just a few loose-ish connections with a small number of cables/etc...

Saved my hard drive
If I could give this a 6 star rating I would. The SATA port on my hard drive broke off and this saved it!

Got my data off! Super easy!
I was moving an SSD from one computer to another and must have put too much pressure on the SATA data connector because the plastic that holds the cable in place snapped it off. I had never done that before, so maybe it's because the drive was old. Or maybe I am. Either way, I thought the drive was toast.I decided it was an opportunity to upgrade from the 250 GB drive to one twice as big. I wasn't too disappointed because I had been backing up my data.Or so I thought. I hadn't checked the backups and realized my email client hadn't been backed up for 8 months and the email on the server only went back 3 months, so I lost 5 months of email. I also found that one Python script that I used all the time was on a folder that wasn't backed up. I tried resting the SATA cable in there, but the computer wouldn't even POST with it connected. I figured it was a lesson learned: always test your backups. I could recreate the script and live without the emails. Then I saw this and figured it was worth a shot. I made sure the pins were straight on the drive, then carefully connected it. I plugged it in, and it worked! The power connector was intact, so this is pretty secure.Based off other reviews, I think I'm going to use some hot glue to further secure this so it won't come out when disconnecting cables (I don't want to risk breaking a pin), then use it as the boot drive for another computer, making sure everything is backed up this time. I'm also thinking of getting a second one for my new drive as a preventive measure. That way, I'll break the adapter next time, not my SDD.

If this is what you need go for it
It’s fine but it’s a little long and would’ve liked to see it lock into the drive.
