I purchased this to send my kids “warm” lunches to school. So far we have used it for nuggets, noodles, and fish sticks. I place boiling water in the thermos for 5 minutes and then drain it. Next I place a paper towel in the bottom and put the nuggets on it so they do not get soggy.It has done a great job keeping their lunches warm. It is light weight so it doesn’t make their lunch kits super heavy. The lid sometimes gets hard to twist off because it suctions on really well, which helps prevent leaks.

I bought two of these and they are working well for my 3 & 5 yr olds to have hot lunches at school. They're not tippy, don't leak, easy to hand wash clean, and keep food hot till noon. You do need to "charge" them with boiling hot water for 5 mins before loading in piping hot food, but that's true of all thermoses. We're really pleased with our choice.

This design is very easy to open, having the handle makes a big difference because when you put hot food in it vacuum seals a little. This also makes it easier for my 5 year old to manage at school. The only reason I did not rate this product a 5 was because it doesn't seem to keep food hot, it seems to be just a bit warmer than room temperature after a couple hours.

I love these. I bought 3 of them for my family's lunches for work and school. I always preheat them with boiling water and load them up with hot food around 7 am. We eat lunch around 1130, and it's HOT. I have had no issues at all with any leaks, and I love the size and the handle on top.

Really love this thermos! I bought it for my kids to take a hot lunch to school with. They’ve use it for lots of different meals so far and it’s kept the food warm and no leaks. It’s been so great I need another one because more than one kid wants to use it at a time. . So I’ll be buying another one.

Several one star reviews complained of the thermos not holding its warmth well enough so when I received the item I boiled water and poured it in. I measured the temp then (197 F) and then 4 1/2 hours later measured again (154 F). The larger size (16 oz) container was 164–retaining more heat because of the larger capacity. It was still nice and warm and I think will serve well as a lunch thermos.
