How would you measure 4/64 and 6/64 with this tool? Would it be possible?

It has a spot for measuring 64th's on the bottom left on the front side, but it only goes to 48/64, which should certainly be enough for measuring string height.

Does this item come with instructions, and is it made of steel?

No instructions. It is essentially just a ruler. But the size, shape and multi-denominations make it especially designed for guitar setups. It is made of high-quality (stainless?) steel with black etchings.

I tend to use 32nds for setting up string heights on my bass. How do you use that area when it's in the middle of the rule?

You use the 64ths. two 64ths = one 32nd. Either that or saw a hole through your bass and stick the tool through

No idea. Bought this for my boyfriend it was 1/2 the price of the one offered by Stewart MacDonald. He loves it--- perfect gauging string height

Very useful & well made

Made from nice heavy gauge stainless steel. Very accurate. Markings very clear and readable.Edges could do with a little deburrring, though. I ran a sheet of 500 grit sandpaper once along each edge to knock the sharpness back a little, Feels great now.

Very helpful tool to set up my guitars...

Having watched numerous Dave's World of Fun Stuff videos, I felt it was time I started measuring my string and pick up height a little more routinely. This tool absolutely does the job - it has all the measurements you need and the 64ths are clearly marked and easy to see and read. Recommended!

Not cut/printed correctly - inaccurate

The first mm actually measures nearly 2mm, making this unusable. Same on the rule edge and the action gauge. Avoid.
