All-New AWS IoT Enterprise Button – Use with AWS IoT 1-Click Service

Could not connect to hotel networks which was my target use case. Hotel wifi has portals you need to agree to. I was connecting with my phone to the wifi network and then trying to connect the button and would not work.

Fun to play around with on AWS! Though I feel like this type of device is a bit outdated as most use cases would be better suited for a phone to trigger it instead

The only reason I gave it one star is that it wouldn’t give me the option to give it zero stars. Do not buy this product. It is useless and a waste of money. I want to return it but there’s no option for returning it. I will not be making anymore Amazon purchases until I am able to return this product. If my review is rejected I will post it on FB.

I tried to configure the button using the iOS app and it didn't work because it has location restriction, but it worked with the android app

I bought this to control my smart lights via Ifttt with webhooks over AWS since the original AWS IoT buttons were 'out of stock' on Amazon. What I learned is that the IFTTT setup is much easier software-wise with the original button, not so easy with this enterprise version. However, I was able to figure out how to set it up manually - fair warning that the delay between button press and smart light change (wemo on IFTTT) is about 7 seconds, but the button does exactly as it describes it would.Contact me through my amazon profile/personal site if you would like slight guidance on setting up this Enterprise button with IFTTT webhooks.

Documentation is outdated and misleading.https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/configure-iot.htmlHave spent hours trying to get it up and running.. but it doesn't connect to wifi.Documentation mentions to connect via url 192.168.0.1, but device rejects/declines.Prompt to connect via App only. AWS IOT App fails too! No way to get the reason code or error log. JUST shows fail to configure. Doesn't let me contact tech support.. unless pay 29$/month charge. Going to return if I dotn

Even though there is a monthly charge for this button, the improvements in management makes that cost easier to accept. AWS needs to improve deliveries and labeling options, but the product is solid.

Do NOT buy this junk. Will not work and can not get support. When you can not get device to work or get support, you will be told that you can not even return this device even if it is less than 1 week old. The WORST Amazon offering, period. You have been warned!
