Just received and installed on my Ally X. A heads up, if you have an SSD with a heating installed, the additional cooling will not fit. However, it is not needed. Very simple install. I couldn’t believe how low the price is compared to the quality. Feels premium when installed and it’s completely smooth compared to the OEM grippy back plate. RGB is all separate from the Ally, and the button is recessed with its own Type-C port. Looks incredible too. I love this and wish I had bought it sooner. Not a fan of the silicon grips but nice that they are included!

I came across a post from rog ally x Reddit and saw some one do this mod and I was curious and checked amazon and the price was not bad at all. Even gave me a $5 coupon discount so That was nice.Modding your ally x for this shell isn’t hard. Watched a YouTube video and was done modding less than 20 minutes. What I like about this set here is the shell lights uses a independent battery and can continuously light up for 2 hours straight (which is more than I need) so you’re not using the ally X’s battery which is nice. Also includes parts to cools down your ally x by 10% more. Gotta love that specially playing a AAA gaming like Doom Dark ages.This also comes with side covers so the grip is even better. Doesn’t slip off and they design it so the cover can shows the lights in the back vertically which is very nice. Without the cover the lights can be very bright with the cover the lights a little bit darker.I definitely recommend getting this shell mod. Totally worth every penny
